My Dad, the #1 Fin Fan going in for a Triple Bypass

my thoughts and prayers are with you, best of luck and get well soon.

Get well soon Mr Mad Porpoise. Were all pulling for you.

(Also, I agree with the other guy that said we need you to play QB.).

Keep smiling and stay strong. God Bless.

Surfer.

All the best

Hope it goes well and here's to a quick recovery :drinkers:

Hang in there, we're all pulling for you! dream about the dolphins in the superbowl :)

Our phins are off to a slow start; however, I believe Saban is going to get us heading in the right direction. Keep the faith, get well, and hurry back!!

God Bless!

Hope everything goes well. My dad died last month from a major heart attack. He was also a huge Dolphins fan, except he lived in the Tampa area. He always complained about always hearing about Tampa Bay, but we went to some of the games together last season so it wasn't a total loss. He was 49.

Anyways, I hope everything goes well and gets back to normal soon. As we learn as things like this happens.. there are things more important to football.

My thoughts are with you.

My prayers are with you and your family.
May you have a full and speedy recovery.

Best of luck. My dad had a similar operation in '98. Make sure your dad understands the recovery timetable can be much longer than the very short best-case-scenario situations the hospitals like to tout. My dad followed all the recommendations yet it still took much longer than 6 months before he even began to feel close to his old self. He had to return to the hospital within a week of the operation for IVs. There were also extended periods of pain in areas they had never warned my dad to expect it, not just where the veins are removed from the leg. My dad says he would ask dozens more questions beforehand, and from several sources, if he knew then what he knows now.

I remember when I was four and my dad bought me a Miami Dolphins t-shirt and toy helmet. Ever since then, we've both been die hard Dolphins fans. We've both suffered through frustrating losses and thrilling victories. Now, real life rears it's ugly head. On Friday, my dad was complaining of chest pains and was admitted to the hospital. After extensive testing, it was found that one of his arteries was 90% blocked and the other was 95% blocked. They scheduled him for a triple bypass Monday morning at 7 a.m. He asked me about the game tonight and told him we're still at the bottom of the learning curve (no sense making things any tougher for him! :) ).

What I would like to do if it's cool with the moderators is for all the Finheaven members to write a message in this thread wishing him well. I'll bring my laptop to his hospital room tomorrow and I think it would really make his world.

Thanks guys! You're all the best!

Go Phins!

God bless and be with your father. Hope everything goes well.

Wish I knew your dads name so I could address him personally but I will just say sir I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery. All us Dolfans at Finheaven look forward to you being back cheering for our Dolphins soon. Rodney
