Those kid pictures are great. Other than McLuvphin losing his hair and getting a tan and you putting on a beer gut you guys still look the same

First thing Dolphins I ever bought was Topps Dan Marino Rookie Card. Spent TONS since, but that one, to this day, is my most treasured.
That was my first hat too! I can remember it was SO hard to find, way back in the late 70's, anything Miami, up here in NewEngland.. I remember a friend of my moms was goin to Florida, and I begged him to get it for me and he did!

By far, my oldest surviving piece of Dolphins gear:
Partially sun-bleached from sitting on the car seat, & it's definately been through the wringer ... But believe it or not, it still fits. (It was frigging huge on me when I first got it. )

Good stories fellas. I also had gotten a Sears catalog snap back Fins hat in about 1986. I couldn't find a pic of it. Funny story though, I wore that hat EVERYWHERE. I even wore it to summer camp one year, I think I was about ten. There I was in the mountains wearing my cap with about a 100 other kids about to watch some kind of talent show by a roaring campfire. Well I couldn't hear so I got up and moved closer to the front. Some kid sitting behind me thought it would be funny to unbutton my snap back from behind. I snapped. I turned around and pushed the first kid I saw (knocking him off the bleachers backwards). When he got to his feet, it was on. We proceeded to fistfight in front of the fire (I don't know how we didn't fall in) in some kind of death match to a hundred cheering kids hahaha. Good times.

I have that same jersey!! The aqua material is still in really good condition and hasn't ripped or faded, but the screen-printing has cracked quite a bit on the stripes and logos.
As for my first piece of Dolphins gear, I think it was a Dan Marino t-shirt that I got in either the late 80's or early 90's. It got sold at a garage sale once I out-grew it. :boohoo:
