Nails upset with Wanny calling him out

Todd Wade was probably our best lineman this year. He started every single game and was the most consistant in all of our lineman.

Todd Wade was awful this year. He consistantly sucked in every game this year. You can't really say we had a "best offensive linemen" because they were all terrible.

I do not know If this is a good or bad thing, but I read the article and It says that Jamie Nails is upset about Wanny calling him out with his play. So many of you want Wanny to get on his players for when they mess up, well now he ha sstarted this trend. Now this will have one of two affects on the players.

1-Players will not like the comments and will want to improve their play so they do not get called out (Hopefully this happens)

2-Players will get upset with Wanny, and Wanny will lose this team once and for all.

So which is it folks, you still want him to get on his players or what?

Yes, he needs to. Thing is, we don't know how it was he didi it. He'll get ne respect for it now unless it is done fairly, evenly and across the board with no exceptions. If he singles one or two out for an ***-chewing, then he setting himself for a king size mutiny!!

His favorite blocking scheme is KFC trap A-gap.

As aweful as he was, he was our best lineman this year, and he remained healthy all year. He definately isnt worth the money he wants but for a reasonable price, I would want him back.

Todd Wade wasn't awful last year. The Dolphins had their most success rushing when they ran behind Todd Wade. He did have his worst season as a pass blocker to date, but he drastically cut down the penalties he had in 2002. In 2002, Wade had 7 penalties. In 2003, Todd Wade had 3 penalties called on him.

Todd Wade = 3 penalties, 5.5 sacks allowed
Tim Ruddy = 4 penalties, 3.5 sacks allowed
Todd Perry = 4 penalties, 3.5 sacks allowed
Jamie Nails = 2 penalties, 1.5 sacks allowed
Wade Smith = 0 penalties, 12.0 sacks allowed

Nice to see Wade Smith is disciplined...too bad he allowed 12 sacks though

Comparing Wade to other top right tackles:

Jon Runyan = 3 penalties, 9.5 sacks allowed

Willie Anderson is a Pro Bowl selection this season, and he gave up only 0.5 sacks less than Todd Wade.

The guy many of you want to give a boatload of money to as a replacement for Todd Wade, John Tait, gave up 4.5 sacks on the year.

Todd Wade was fine and stacks up against some of the best right tackles in the game. If you don't believe it, then you will just have to sit back and watch Wade garner a lot of interest on the market. If Miami gets a quality GM, they will lock Todd Wade up to a long term contract.

A lot of that is due to inexperience. He's only been a left tackle for two years. He started out in college as a tight end. He's going to get better because he has the frame to hold more size, will get stronger, and already has great athleticism and feet for an offensive lineman.

Not that I disagree with what you're saying but, KC had almost 100 more pass attempts than the Dolphins....For what it's worth.

Todd Wade will only get attention because he is big and because he had a good rookie season. He has gotten worse since his first year. If we give Wade a long term contract, we will be wasting money. He is useless. I hope another team decides to waste money on him.

As for sacks, Fiedler started most of the games, and he is pretty good at avoiding sacks. He was still sacked too much, but his mobility really helped us avoid sacks. The pocket collapsed on nearly every passing play. There were guys in Fiedler's face right when he got the ball. Our pass protection was poor on the left and right sides. However, Wade is naturally going to give up less sacks than Smith because both of our QBs are right handed so Wade Smith was the one protecting their blind side. On most passing plays, our QBs are going to see the defenders coming from the right but not from the left.

That's bunk.

Todd Wade is a top 5 or 6 right tackle in the entire NFL. The attention he will get in free agency will show this.
