Thanks a bunch!!! You da man, nasty!!!

I'm very glad to see that your reports are not biased in the QB situation. Hopefully more people will realize that both of our QBs (F & F) are mediocre and Gus is winning the job because of his familiarity with the system and his leadership skills.

My read of it is that Saban thinks AJ has better skills, but Gus manages better. And because Gus also knows the system better he wins by default. Even when saying Gus is ahead he says only by a 'little bit' and doesn't sound like he's counting out AJ. Saban wouldn't sugar coat anything, so either he secretly likes AJ, or secretly dislikes Gus.

I read your report thank you for the update. I live in baltimore so I only saw the first preseason game. What I saw in the first game was that the O-Line seem a little slow. I think the O-Line is the most important part of a football team so this worries me. I thought they appeared to be slow but I only hear great reports about the unit in these updates. I was wondering if anyone else noticed the speed or lack of speed on the O-Line. I also think it is dangerous to rate a Carey's ability by his performance against Taylor. Talyor is an undersize D-End and once you learn his tricks you will own him. I am looking forward to see Carey lockup with Seymour on the patriots
Thank you

What did Seth do to earn a promotion to 1st team center?

Thanks for the great report.

It is really encouraging to see how well Carey has been doing so far in camp. If he can handle JT, he can handle anybody..

Dont be worried about the speed of our o-line. It was the first time that they went at full speed. They looked great against J-ville who has an extremely talented D-line...

Now... I am definatly not worried about Carey dealing with big DEs at all... Carey's best attibute is his strength... When he locks up with someone... its over. The boy is huge and strong as hell... The thing he struggles most with (which lately hasnt been often) is going against speed rushers because speed isnt his strength. So working against JT is the best thing for him. Dont worry about Carey gettin pushed around by guys like Seymour... it is impossible. He is just way too big and strong. (not to hate on Seymour) The guys that will give Carey the most trouble are guys like Freeney... but he has been doing really well against JT so I aint worried. Especially when you think that this kid is only gunna get better. He is only a sophmore in this league and is only gunna get bigger, stronger, and better...

I have no freakin clue... Maybe he got a little friendly with Saban late one night in his office? :goof:

For real though, I dont understand his move back to 1st string C... hopefully it wont be for long...

I think that Wade Smith would definitely be our starting center right now if it wasn't for his injury

are you going to camp tonight Nasty?

I dunno... I got to take the woman out to dinner, but I am hoping we can eat early and make it to the practice. I love when she comes to practice, because she lets me just dictate notes to her and she writes them down for me... Not to mention shes some eye candy to look at every once in a while when I need a break from staring at fat sweaty linemen... its a pretty sweet deal!
