Nat Moore next GM?

I think Curtis Martin had more to do with the fact that he is considered to be an 'all-time' high character guy who happens to live in South Florida but isn't associated with the Dolphins franchise. Also apparently he's on good terms with Dawn Aponte. Which, uh... why is Dawn Aponte going to survive this mess?

PR or not, JT at least has some legitimacy among the fans (despite parcels running him out of town and into the arms of the jets)
We're talking about whether these moves have any future implications for the structure of the front office, and IMO they do not. IMO they are PR moves that are intended to offset the politically incorrect publicity surrounding the team right now.

Does Nat have any personnel experience?

By the way, Jason Taylor needs to be considered for the next 'Football Czar' type position within this organization. I don't know if he will do a good job or a bad one, but here is what I do know:

He looked absolutely pained and disgusted last night at the end of that game. He cares. He is not going to come in as a mercenary to make a buck. He legitimately cares about what's going on here.

100% agree with you on this. Taylor does care what is going on and I think he would be very valuable in turning this franchise around.

Nat Moore is already a part of the front office. That would be where their connection is!

Both JT and Zach live and die with the Dolphins, the type of people we need. I would find a position for both of them if they wanted to be part of the organization. I don't know if any of them could work out at any executive position, but both could be very good coaches.

I truly believe Zach and JT would make awesome D coaches, Zach can read an offense as well as anyone, Jason was beyond relentless both were very intensity with huge hearts, all that would rub over on the players they coached. I would love to see it happen.

Meh ... You could replace "Jason Taylor" with "Bumpus" and it'd mean the same thing. I wouldn't really know what I was doing either, but I'd also care. Doesn't make it a good idea.

Taylor would lend credibility IMO. Zach Thomas or someone like that would work, too. Essentially, I think we need someone who cares about the Miami Dolphins -- like someone in the Ring of Honor who actually gives a damn because they are a part of it -- to be the stand in for Steve Ross on a lot of things. Because he's clearly not getting it done. And I don't think he's going to sell the team.

nat moore...seriously???

Nat's involved in the front office with public relations and stuff. He will not be the GM. Nor should he be.

I think it's been said, but Miami needs a Pre of Football Operations who has control over the GM and HC.
Ross, apparently, does not know enough to hire quality leaders, so that should be left up to the Pres of Football Operations.
Of course, Ross would have to hire that person, so it may be just as bad...who knows...

I would support it because at least we know we have someone who bleeds Aqua and Orange, and wants what is BEST for the Miami Dolphins. He would also bring in some former Dolphins who really care about this franchise.

I would love JT to head of Football operations. He cares about the team deeply and has a history with the organization. How much experience did Elway have when he took over in Denver.
He landed Peyton and made some great draft picks and free agent moves that will keep Denver relevant for years to come.

Well to be fair, Elway had successfully run an Arena League team before he took that job.

But the reason I suggested JT for such a role is that Peyton apparently wouldn't even meet with the Dolphins until Marino made a plea to him directly. The problem is, of course, that Dan has already quit on this team once because he didn't want to put in the work, so uhm, yeah. We do need someone like that, and it needs to be someone who actually wants the job.
