Nate Burleson on Daunte and the Wonderlic

I could care less about his wonderlich score. I'm just glad that Burleson described him as very smart qb who wanted more input on the offense the vikes were running.

A rapper helped him get a contract? So what? I don't know which rapper you're talking about but there are many rappers who have proven to be business moguls, Master P comes to mind (record labels, clothing lines, real estate companies, promotion agencies, etc.)

Nobody found this funny? It was actually Master P who negotiated his contract lol.

 not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. did they (ricky and harrington) actually do good on the test? cause one smokes the maui wowie on his off time and one couldn't hack it with his old team. not very intelligent signs to me.

about ricky
those are signs of bad judgement.
but the guy is smart as hell, read any article of a writer talking to ricky.
they all say the same thing, that he is very intelligent, and very articulate
nick saban said this guy is as smart as they come
just made some bad judgement calls

35 so what!

Lienart's 35 is something to boast about. Maybe Culpepper thinks a 21 suggests he's an intelligent guy? I wouldn't say Pep is as intelligent as Ricky or Harrington, however, I do believe his athletic ability will overcome his lack of intelligence.

Lienart scored a 35 but dates Paris "MORON" Hilton so how much value in judgement can we put in the damn test!!!

If he married her he'd never have to play football and be more rich than he could ever imagine; sounds pretty "MORON"ic to me.

hes dating a dumb blonde rich girl who isnt bad looking. that doesnt sound stupid to me.

wonderlic has never ever been used to determine skill/star power/etc.

its simply a quiz given just to be given, no point to it actually. it doesnt even mean you have less football knowledge, just basic ****...it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

i think i might have found a reason why c-pep might have actually been serious (might)

just quickly scanning that list he appears to have the highest score among black qbs, dunno if thats what he means.

I smoke the wacky weed all the time and i scored a 780 on the analytical section of the GRE :billfan: (some of the most intelligent people i know also do the same). As far as football players are concerned, especially QB, the intelligence of the coach is often a greater measure of how an individual plays within a team during a game. Maybe Harrington "couldn't hack it" because the playcalling, preperations, and general coaching weren't quite intelligent enough.

I'm sorry, but yes it does. Anyone who can barely complete a sentence or sound relatively intelligent is considered a moron in my opinion. Vince Young, Randy Moss, and Chad Johnson are morons. They simply are athletic machines that have one gift in life and that's their athletic ability. They speak ebonics that was taught to them in the ghettos of their respective areas and they decided to go along with it and never learn standardized english. Its thier choice and they have made enough money for it never to matter, however, it showed how very stupid they really are. If I had all that money I'd be going to Harvard in the offseason to improve myself. These guys have no desire to be intelligent, hence they are stupid.

Wow, this sounds like a very narrow view of intelligence. Maybe these players have their own personal biases against standardized english. If you grew up in the inner city and decided you wanted to lay down some propper grammer for your peers deep in the ghetto, you would probably feel a little bit less than intelligent as you find yourself crawling the gutters looking for your teeth (you certainly wont be finding any friends). There is all sorts of intelligence. The way you portray yourself is often more a product of environment. You sighted three successfull people that don't feel a need to betray their environments as well as there own identities. Was everybody stupid before Webster standardized spelling?
