I hope you aren't talking about the 52 yard kick that he missed at the end of the first half into the open end of the stadium that the longest kick ever made there was Jeff Reed in 2010 under perfect conditions. Sturgis was in the snow, with wind and it was on target. He had a 3% chance of making that kick. I'm not saying he's had a great season but if this one kick is "Jonathan Marting (straw that broke the camel's back)" you should wait until he misses another high percentage kick.
Very true. We should have just went for it there I think. But to be fair, Sturgis has missed his fair share of easy kicks. And every now and then I'm scared the PAT might just whiff it sometimes too.
