Before everyone starts giving me thumbs down for telling me I'm delusional or that we already have a QB of the future, humor me for a second…then do that if you want.

This franchise is really not known for making huge gutsy decisions that gamble the future of the franchise. In recent years, via the draft, personnel decisions, free agent acquisitions, it seems like we always kind of take the safe route…but where has it gotten us? I still stand by the thought that Ross is somewhat inept as an owner, and is largely responsible for our current woes as evidenced by the fact he's kept our head coach and hired an OC, but we don't have a GM. This has made me (and many of us here) speculate what the GM's role will be, if Aponte is managing the cap space, it sounds like the GM role will primarily be player acquisitions….

Well, as evidenced statistically over the last 6 years Irelands draft picks have often been towards the bottom of the NFL in terms of production. Which brings me to my point here, basically our drafts are largely wasted on underperforming talent. So for once I'm ready to see a BIG move be made. I've heard the Texans may be looking to trade out of their #1 pick. I think a good way for whomever our new GM ends up being to make a huge splash is to mortgage our whole draft on getting us Teddy "Football" Bridgewater.

I know many of you like Tannehill, but I couldn't help but feel as I watched the Colts 2 playoff appearances this year that even though they heavily trailed in the first game and lost in the second, as I watched Luck throw some of the most beautiful accurate passes I've seen in a long time "THAT is what a good QB looks like". I can't help but often wonder how things could be different right now if we had "Sucked for Luck". Well, I feel like we have a gift on our hands here if we are brave enough to take it. Look at Denver in 2011…Tim Tebow got them to the playoffs. How he did it is beyond questionable, but the fact remains, he did. For most teams in the league if your rookie QB got you to the playoffs, he'd be starting the following year, but Denver saw the chance to upgrade to the far superior Peyton Manning, they did it, and are now 1 game removed from the Super Bowl. WE COULD BE THAT TEAM.

Tannehill is young, and has trade value. Between a couple of free agent pick ups, whatever we could get for Tannehill, and maybe a trade or two, we could be just as well off as if we drafted a bunch of Ireland level scrubs, but Bridgewater could be a franchise QB for the next decade plus.

If our new GM had the stones to make a move like this, and it payed off, in my opinion it could be the best thing to happen to this franchise in a loooonnng time. Anyway, just some food for thought, opinions?

Can we go one day without some out of the blue thread that has a 0.000000000000001% chance of happening?

What if......

We trade our entire draft for AP right? And then make Wallace a QB and run the spread.

THEN! We can make Miller a LG and run the Fumblerooskie.

SUPERBOWL!

Our new GM wont do anything high risk like this. All's a new 1st year GM wants to do is come in and make a solid impact player choice in round 1, 2, and 3 and pluck a steal out in 4-7.Thats 4 out of seven players and it will allow him in the future to have the stones to pull off the trade you present.

It's just not going to be in year one. Also it isn't as if Ryan had 2 12 touchdown seasons. He doubled his touchdown ratio and survived a record breaking sack season and lived to tell about it.They doubled down with bringing Lazor here for Tannehill, that in itself is writing on the wall Ryan is in their plans.

...really dude... Needed attention that bad to copy another thread exactly pretty much? Be

You must be a little slow on the uptake.

Btw, it's "needed attention that badLY"

Thanks for your insight.
