Doesn't it usually take people longer to grasp the concept of 1+1 then it does to grasp the concept of algebra?

The short and intermediate stuff is for the backs and tight ends. We're getting our WRs use to the idea of catching the ball 40 yards down the field or more, and our QBs use to the idea of heaving it that far fairly often. Norv's playbook was much more complicated. Martz's playbook is the most complicated out there and his is a derivation of Norv's playbook.
But Norv's playbook was not his strength as an offensive coordinator. It was his play-calling.
