I really like the MIAMI hat but I hate flat brimmed hats. Can the flat bills be bent and stay curved or will it keep unbending?

I have no idea how the hat's tip being flat/bended determines if it's "thuggish" or not. If I were to rewrite history and swap the both hats in their eras people would still say "bended=thuggish" today.
