New Times article insulting

I said it before, and Ill say it again.. The current Miami Dolphins logo is one of the worst in the league... The helmet on the dolphin is silly looking and cartoonish.. It no longer fits in with the other logos in the league, and I for one believe its time for a change.. The logo is indeed not "powerful" in a football sense.. And yes, it does look a little wimpy..

Go ahead, skewer me too..

Name me the logos that are powerful and fear inducing.

Raiders, Bucs, maybe the Jags & Panthers since they are frowning cats.... that's about it for me on the aggressive logos.

The logo matches the name. If you want fear inducing you need to change the name to Great White Sharks or the mass murderers

Not neccesarily "fear inducing".. but powerful.. A sense of strength.. The Phins logo simply does not have that.. And its mainly due to its cartoonish appearance.. Its still to AFL looking.

Just look at all the logos:

Which looks like it doesnt fit in? (Other than the browns, who have no functioning logo) The Dolphins Logo..
 
The Dolphin image is part of our mystique.We are the good guys .Everyone loves Dolphins.How many people love Sharks ?

Its obvious you dont know much about marketing..

Its no coincidence that the dominant colors in most NFL franchises are red and blue.. And darker shades may I add..

Things such as colors, use of space in uniform design, stripes, logos, etc. DO have a slight psychological effect on the players and fans alike.. I actually think the uniform design of the Dolphins is top notch.. The use of stripes is well done.. But the logo, especially the new version, just does not fit in with the venue..

Drop the helmet and the logo would be 30x better imo.

True, but it will help me look less like a ***** when I wear my jersey :lol:
 
Although I agree that the Dolphins logo is nothing special I don't see a remedy. How do you make a Dolphin look intimidating? The color scheme is a little over the top but it's unique.

Speaking of bad logo's how about the NY Giants. Their logo's are words, they don't even have a symbol. WTF is that all about?

Take the helmet off the Dolphin and it would look SOOO much better.
 
You want to talk cartoonish looking, look at the Titan's logo.
 
The dolphin Logo on the side of Zach's helmet looks pretty damn intimidating....on the side of marino's helmet it was pretty damn intimidating....and everytime Csonka strapped his helmet on, there were knees shaking on the other side of the line...

Change the logo and I'll never buy any Dolphins merchendise again for as long as I live....
 
i like how they added a "metallic" look to the helmets. the dolphins looks so glittery and pretty! but since we're on the subject of change, can we please..for the love of god update the end seats at dolphins stadium. it still has the old logo and half of them are rusted to hell. also can we get rid of that cheesey movie theatre celebration theme you see painted in some sections. you know the cheesey triangles..i dont know what the hell they were thinking when they did that. some new jumbo screens would be nice too... okay im done.
