New Times article insulting

Wow.

You really so against change. I've read a lot of your posts, and you always seemed so anti-reactionary. Guess I was wrong, about you.
c'mon, I feel strongly about something and I'm a reactionary all of a sudden??....Instead of trying to insult me by saying you were "wrong about me", how about you say that you can see how much conviction I have about this since I'm not usually like this.

I repeat again.....I'll never buy another Miami Dolphins item in MY LIFETIME....

I expect to get them all for free after they choose my logo....

F that.....like i said, change the logo and i'll never buy anything again....I'm dead serious.

Infins, they have already changed the logo like 3 times... I take it you still by merch though right? 96 was a rather big change in logo design.. What of our tradition then?

Because, if there is a change in the logo you haven't even seen it yet, so to just come out and say you feel so strongly about something you haven't even seen yet, is...well...reactionary. For all you know there might a new logo out there, that might just make you happy. But because you've taken such a stand and proclaimed such strong feelings you'll never give a new one a fair shot.

Think about it this way, if it was a different logo from the beginning of the franchise, and now it came time to change it, you'd probably have the same opinion you do now. So it probably has nothing really to do with the artwork itself, just that you can't seem to stomach the idea of changing it.

So how the heck can anyone make a Dolphin look mean or intimidating? Now THAT would be a joke. If they put big growly teeth on a Dolphin then they just made a Shark. We're not sharks. We're Dolphins. Dolphins are smart while sharks have no brain. Brains have made this a successful franchise for almost 40 years. So :goof: to you New Times. hehe.

Maybe put a dead shark in it's mouth..that would be scary! :egads:

Bro...as long as it's a Dolphin jumping in the Sun....I aint got a problem with it....

Why would anyone read New Times anyway? It is a marginal publication, at best.

Most idiotic in the league? Far from it. We are the Miami Dolphins hence the sea mammal on the helmet.

How bout the Cardinals, Browns, Packers, Jets, 49ers, Seahawks, Bills, just to name a few..... are those creatures that strike fear into the heart? I think not.
a seahawlk is not a real creature. but im guessing its like a eagle th9ing, so thats not to bad.

a charging buffalo is a scary thing.

jets can blow stuff up.. not an animal though. next thing you know they will change there name to the NJ Tanks. but thats NJ for you.

the cardinals have the worst one. its a harmless bird.

That's really harsh, Agua. The folks working on the alternate logos took this as an opportunity to play around and experiment with their talent. That doesn't mean they're all for overhauling the logo and it CERTAINLY doesn't mean their dopes.

I think this post was uncalled for.

Well, when they're suggesting that they're offering these logos in reponse to this "New Times" contest, what else am I to conclude than they're wanting to overhaul the logo for no other reason than they want something "new"?

That's my opinion on the matter.

Maybe they want to win a contest?

It's probably the one constant that's been in my life since childhood. When I see nonchalant talk of changing it from people who are too young to know and respect what that logo has done, I zoom right past rational in it's defense.

Everything else in my life is change change change.....The newer the better has always been my motto....This ONE thing means more to me than than I can put into words...and you're right, I can't stomach the thought of not seeing it again.

however, I know myself very well, and if I saw something that I truly liked and felt that it carried the traditon without losing the soul that it has now, i'd probably soften up a little...
