NEW Wildcat!

Could we somehow incorporate a punter who used to be a QB like Tom Tupa into this new wildcat? Also a WR who used to be a CB like devin Hester could take it to the next level. Maybe even the center fielder who used to be a pitcher, Rick Ankiel, could throw a block or something.

Eventually, the Miami Dolphins will have to step up and play some real football in order to catch up to some of the elite offenses in the NFL that are winning playoff games and Super Bowls.

Surely we'd be on the right track by throwing having our running back throw to our QB. Not sure why we didn't go this route sooner.

Smoke and mirrors, fellas. That's how we right this ship here.

:tubes:

If we brought in Jared Lorenzen to play OL and Antwaan Randle El at WR, even more dimensions would open up. I'm getting excited about this, guys.

It's not that bad of an idea. It would be good for one touchdown a year. Gotta surprise every once in a while.

Jared Lorenzen is listed at 6'4", 315 lbs on Wikipedia. I think this OL/QB idea is legit. He could solve our RT issues and create trick plays at the same time. Bring in The Pillsbury Throwboy.

As much as I love our Franchise QB getting decked by a safety...............

i think we should have a wildcat play or two in the playbook and use it every now and then as a gimmick play like a double reverse or halfback pass.
The problem was it became our base offense for a while and everyone knew it was coming so they figured out how to stop it.

this will be what, the wildcat twice-removed? we all saw what happened with the transition from Lee-Sparano, do you really want to try and re-invent the wheel? i say, let Philbin do his thing. The WC was a fad, not saying it will never be successful, but lets not try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

On a serious note, if we did run an occasional Wildcat play, Bush could be the trigger man with LLamar Miller at WR and either DT or Slayton at RB.
I seriously doubt that we see the wildcat again. But...who knows.
No need risking the first round QB that we waited decades to finally draft at WR. The defense would surely smash him.

Have you all lost your ****ing mind, no way we bring back the wildcat.................

I'll bet every team has it in thier playbook as a gimmick play. if we finally find a QB that can move the team there will be no need to use it.

I'm not fully endorsing the idea of bringing the Wildcat back, but what I will say is that a team like the one we have now probably will need to win with smoke and mirrors, at least for this season. We don't have the ability to go out there, play teams straight up and win 10 or 11 games. It sucks, but the talent just isn't there and we may need to think outside the box to move the football.
I definitely am endorsing putting Matt Moore on a VERY short leash and playing Tannehill if he falters. If he's good enough to be drafted 8th overall then he should be good enough to play as a rookie. Big Ben was 9th overall (correct me if I'm wrong but he was drafted around pick 10) and I think he did pretty well.

Touchdowns from this team would certainly surprise anyone.

I loled at this.

Which is exactly why we need OL/QB Jared Lorenzen.
