Well there you go. Lucas was worse than Fiedler. Which shows how crappy Lucas was since he was worse than a bad quarterback.

Obviously Jay is better than Lucas, what is your point?

The difference is ray won a few games over 2 months, jay was winning games for 4 years w/ you guys.

weve had a top tier Defense for quite some time and since you jets homers go and pick up Keebler you all the sudden feel hes the reason we won any games? he couldnt throw the ball to Orande Gadsden....the man with monster hands come on thats just sad. In marino's final year he loved gadsden but Fiedler made the guy work way to hard for wide open catches.

Marino's last AFC east Title was 1994, Jay won it in his 1st year and the AFC east was ALOT better in '00 than '94.

gadsden in 1999 w/ Marino: 48 recs, 6 TDs
Gadsden in 2000 w/ Jay: 56 recs, 6 TDs

your D was so top tier than in your last 5 playoff losses you gave up 164 pts or 33 a game.

So it was all Fiedler. It was Fiedler the reason Miami's defense was top five in points allowed during the season.

If you want to bring playoffs to prove the entire team Jay also tanked in the playoffs.

You are right!!! Fiedler is more effective than Marino. Why oh why did we let him go. We made a huge mistake. With Fiedler firmly in the fold, there is no stopping the Jets.

Tell you what, let's talk again in December, when your season will end. Let's see how you feel about Fiedler then.

So did Fiedler. Miami lost those games. You are making our point. Defense played well Miami generally won. Defense played bad to ok, Miami generally lost.

Yes, he is your backup. He should have been ours, but he was our starter. That's the point, he isn't a starter in this league, yet for 5 years this was our guy. As for our failure in big games, of that there is not doubt. It had a lot to do with coaching. In playoffs, schemes and adjustments become paramount, even more so than the regular season.. Our coaching staff was ill equipped to say the least when the stakes were at their highest. This fact, plus Fiedler spelled doom.

It is just absolutely HYSTERICAL how Jets fans are now proclaiming that Fiedler is the greatest thing since sliced bread (or something to that effect) now that he's a Jet!!

Ya know, seriously, with that and Curtis to hand off to, he may restore his reputation as a solid backup. He was ok in Jaxonville, remember. But he took a beating and may not be durable enough to do much. Jets may have to use a third stringer this year, don't be surprised. But he cannot put a team on his shoulder and win, so the Jets better hope Martin continues to evade Father Time.
