next hc may be a surprise

To get this kind of coach you would have to hire him away from his current gig because if he's like your description he isn't unemployed. Besides the Cowher's and Gruden's.
...really?....how about Tony Dungy???......I love to see Ross try to persuade him out of retirement...

i would be on board with bringing in ryan. absolutely!

he understands agressive defense but isnt ignorant to a hi powered offense as both his dad and brother all subscribed, strong defense, but SCORE POINTS, not keep it within 6 points and run the whole second half.

i want sparano gone NOW though. we all know where this season is headed. our division rivals are all 3 leaps and bounds ahead of us. i want to get the coach in here now so he can evaluate in game conditions and meetings and have his plan in place at seasons end, not scarambling to figure the team out, get his staff together AND get ready for the draft and f/a on top of it all.

in THIS particualr situation, it makes the MOST sense to end sparano now and get the coach in here. that would leave ryan out as the cowboys wont let him go at this point, not even for an h/c job. not jeruh! no, it wont save the season as we dont have the talent, but, it gives the new coach a VITAL head start.

imo i want somebody thats been there and done that just because rob is rex brother dosent mean he will be agood HC Gruden and Bill Cowher ,and jeff fisher all are better options imo i would take either of those 3 guys . its been a long time since we had a good HC and i want to make sure this time before we pull the trigger because i dont want to have to go through this again for the next 15 years.

imo it will come down to 2-3. and imo i think ross will hire rob ryan. for some reason i think ross will make this move. ryan is a hell of a coach, and he would light a fire under this teams ***. and i would be down 100%. if he goes the experienced hc route i think it will be gruden. i would be happy with ether one.
does anyone else think the next hc will be a surprise, or will he go with someone with headcoach experience?

I mentioned this in an earlier thread - way back last year - would make an interesting feud that much more interesting

Bill Cowher is going to the NY Giants. It's as clear as day. The G-Men are likely to miss the playoffs this year and Mara will hire Cowher. He's been holding out for that job for a while and I think this year it will be his.

Doubt very much any of those guys being mentioned (except maybe Fisher) might take the job at this point. They're all involved with other teams and won't just bail this early on them. As far as Cowher, Gruden, Dungy, they all have committed to the networks and probably wouldn't walk or give up the $$$ they have coming until after their gigs are up at the end of the season. Plus who would want to take over this train wreck of a team that has brainwashed or acclimated to mediocrity???

Best move at this point - Install Nolan as the interim HC at the Bye week, finish the season with him and then Ross can throw big money at one of the name guys while also (hopefully) revamping the FO.
