Next Head Coach Rob Chudzinski! Best candidate for the Job?

Posted this in the other Chudzinski thread:

Pass.

He was OC in Cleveland in 2008 where Cleveland was tied for last in the league for touchdowns...He was replaced by Daboll...

I like the idea of Chudzinski. He's worked wonders with a rookie Cam Newton, and let's not forget he made Derek f*cking Anderson a Pro Bowl QB.

he also had them in the top 10 in offense the year before.

lol..people seem to forget Shockey and Olsen are in carolina..you think that was by mistake? oh by the way he attend the U and he played the position....Just saying

And Olsen and Shockey are the leading receivers after Steve Smith. Not to mention he was the TE coach at San Diego, where he coached the best TE in the NFL.

would definately pass on chud he really needs to prove himself more

Cleveland has had like 5-6 coordinators since 2000, and all of them had ****ty offenses. Maybe, just maybe there's more to it than the coordinators... And as you said, the Browns had probably their best offense through those years under Chud. I believe that was the year he made Derek Anderson a pro bowler... And now he's working wonders with Cam Newton. A couple of those Offensive Coordinators have found success after leaving Cleveland as well. Bruce Arians, the current OC of the Steelers comes to mind.

I'd prefer they peruse the college ranks if new blood is what they want. We've already seen what a Norv Turner offense looks like.....of course hes had a great deal of success in San Diego but hes also had a great deal of talent that doesn't exist in Miami.

Bring in a creative mind from college that isn't stuck with this NFL mentality still residing in the 60's. It might be a spectacular failure but really at this point as a franchise you can't get any lower. Might as well take a risk on something new.

How about that guy from Alabama. I hear he's really good.

I was the first guy to suggest this guy in the offseason and I really think he would be a good hire. He has coached in this league for the last few years while guys like Gruden and Cower haven't. The last thing I want is someone has not been involved in the transition to the modern offense ran in this league by the teams that are currently dominating. Chud ran a high flying O in San Diego and has shown the capability to turn a rookie QB into a passing machine. Newton has not been perfect but they have done a good job transitioning him to the NFL. He can take his crack at Luck IMO.

At this point, id take anyone who could fix the quarterback position.

This guy has had success making a system for QB's to flourish in.

He would most certainly be worth a look.

as much as i would love this guy, it will not happen, we need someone that will bring in star players, rob chud will not bring that

CHUD. The worst movie ever made. And a crappy candidate for a coach.

I really honestly think a coach on the rise, whoever that might be, is the way to go. No offense to Cowher, Gruden and Fisher but they have coached a long time and would all seem like short-term fixes. Miami needs to identify that coach on the rise and take a chance. Interestingly, I think Ross had it right to try to bring in Harbaugh and think about it. Gruden and Cowher were available at the time. So who knows. Maybe he's thinking the same thing this article suggests.
