NFL 2014 CUTS Tracker

Why do the Bills want to get rid of Urbik? Thought he was a good player. And I just don't see a division rival trade with us especially strengthening our weakness vs them.

What's the word on the Texans former 2nd round cb they cut? Any talent?

Really wish we would bring in Hopkins for a look at kicker

Watching the Rams broadcast last night, the former players and announcers are really bought into this team. Fisher seems like he is coming off a perpetual bender.
They are the definition of mediocre 6-10
Their fans are going to see a slow motion train wreck.
I have to agree. Living in Nashville, I have been witness to the mediocrity of Fisher. He had that one really good year where they went to the SB, but most of the time they were the definition of the word-mediocre

they wont trade us urbik being in division i was just asking if he was cut should we be interested...brandon harris is a slot only guy can't play the boundary and miamis got a bunch of slot options...that and he gets beat a lot...

Seems weird to cut him though, has his level of play decreased?

it's too bad cause they got some talent...but shaun hill and pryor should they pick him up are not gonna move the needle in a positive way...that pass rush is LEGIT

About the only upgrade they could get at qb is Kirk cousins but that would be costly. I think just for this season if they could get Sanchez cheap why not. what do they have to lose

Not really an upgrade, but don't be shocked if Ponder's name gets tossed around in a few hours.

Your talking about Sanchez not Cousins I assume. Never said Sanchez was an upgrade, he knows the offense and would be good to have in case Hill gets hurt. If hey got Sanchez for a late round pick why not.
The only backup that is not a young starter in training that I see improving that team is Kirk cousins. Hill is basically the typical decent backup that a team has if they have a good backup. He is their version of matt Moore

I mean Ponder is not really an upgrade for the Rams but I think he will be rumored to go there at least as a back up to Hill.

That's not a horrible move. Shaun Hill is as good a backup there is in NFL for the most part but behind him is a totally green qb.
Ponder may do better in a new place, he had moments. This is why the people that thought the rams would be calling about matt Moore. If you have Hill why trade for another Hill in Moore.
If you trade for Ponder are going a diff route. Why would Moore even want to go and backup Hill. if a team loses their starting qb almost any time there will not be a starter guy out there to replace him in trade.

I think a conditional 5th round pick for Ponder would be more than fair seeing that he's the Vikings #3 qb.

Hell talk to NE see if maybe u can trade a player that is on cut bubble and a conditional draft pick to NE for Ryan Mallet.
Trade for example Michael Sam and a 6th that could turn into a 4th if Mallet starts a certain amount of games or is resigned next season.
The Rams are deep at DL so why not trade him if you don't need him.
Another possibility is trade Steadman Bailey and Sam or something for Josh Boyce and Mallet.
not saying its possible that bailey gets traded or anyone else but the Rams need players now.

Agreed. He has starting exp and he is still young. The Vikings sitting around paying a guy like Ponder to be number three is a waste.
odds are ponder fails there too but the Vikings should get whatever they can because his value is not rising and they are set at Qb .
By set I mean they have the vet in place and a young up and comer.

Not bad trade ideas, however for some reason you don't see many multiple player trades anymore. Mallett would be interesting, but I'm not sure NE want to go with just a rookie backing up Brady.

That rookie has looked damn good though. NE always trades early it seems plus Mallet is free agent next year. Hearing Mallet is not long for NE not sure if its cut or trade. Just read that kyle Orton signed with Bills . we may see him on field the way Manuel has been looking.
