Honestly, Long shouldn't beat Johnson, Matt Ryan, Flacco, or Forte.. so at the very highest, he can be 5th. If you go by VALUE than the winner, by far, was Steve Slaton.

I will take a top tier LT for 8 years instead of a flash in the pan 2-3 year WR/HB to be honest.. but they have crazy stats so they will win things like this.

Miami and Denver won this first round last year. Getting absolute STUD tackles is such a rare feat versus grabbing a really good RB..

Long at #9 is really ridiculous and Jackson at #10 also.. something in the middle would be ok with me..

and btw a very good post by Crazy685 ;) these tackles will anchor their lines for years to come..

I agree that those players had a HUGE immediate impact on their respective teams... But in the long run? Long/Clady will probably pull in front of a couple... I thought Matt Ryan should have been the number one in this formula and Long/Clady as you said 5th-6th respectively. JMO.

jamie dukes disagreed too... funny he was speechless. It is hard to argue though with the bottom half of the list... But Clady above Long is a joke. Michael Lombardi's credibility is also starting to do a free fall to me too.

Yeah Long as #9 is pretty ridiculous, he should definitely be higher then that. Chris Johnson should not have been #1, that belongs to Matt Ryan

Clady didn't allow a single sack all year. That's why a lot of sportswriters are claiming him to be the top tackle in last year's draft. However, most of them are overlooking the fact that he is an exceptional athlete who fits perfectly into the Broncos zone-blocking scheme. If you put Jake Long or Ryan Clady on any random team, I think 9 times out of 10 Long would be a more useful and effective player. It's the situation that makes Clady more valuable for his team at this point and the reason he gets a higher value is because he went 12th, not 1st.

Long is a stud.

I can't wait till we get a solid left guard, left side will be an automatic four yard gain against any team.
