Precisely!

Miami must Draft Dillon Gabriel before somebody else (PItt, ..) decides to "roll the dice" on him. Our true first priority (sans DT), is to stabilize our QB room so we don't end up like Nagasaki II "if" Tua gets hurt again. I think #48 is a bit too high but #98 is too low and could be easily jumped. As suggested earlier, it is time to make a deal for a 70's pick using next year's 2nd or 3rd + change; Ramsay could also be packaged. If Tua is going to be our QB long term, we must have a suitable replacement who can execute Tua's offense; we know it and so does everyone else in the league. Sitting on our hands fingers crossed until #135... Ain't gonna get it done! A 2026 2nd is a tiny price for Tua insurance and a great investment in our QB Room! Just Do It!

Another reason to trade next year's assets for this year... We will have a veteran player instead of a rookie.

Dude 😂 I can get Gabriel in the 5th. I was thinking larger and more athletic.

Two other top tier run defenders at DT to keep an eye on are CJ West and Caldwell. Both are excellent run stuffers
I like CJ West better as a 3 technique to complement Grant and Sieler if we wait until round 4 or 5.

Another 3 technique I like is Rylie Mills.

I dont think we need to draft another NT unless its late for depth.

Anything other than an Eichenberg replacement at 48 is the wrong answer.
If the goal is to get someone to replace Eichenberg, you could get someone to challange him at any point of the draft. Still like the idea of drafting Jared Wilson and plugging him at guard to start his career and maybe transition to center later.

Jared Wilson at 48 would make me very happy.

I dig Wilson, but the goal needs to be an instant OG starter where there's no "competition". Eich can't even be given that much of a chance. If he's given a chance, the retarded coaching staff will pick Eich to start the season.

Yup.

This is the dilemma I was talking about. By passing on O line at 13, there will be excellent talent left on the board at 48. If Miami were to draft Collins/Watts/Schwessinger/Amos I could understand why over O line. I mean the talent justified it.

I love the Grant pick, especially with Booker also taken, I feel the better value at that time was defense.

But this now puts Miami in a position to have to take a G, over a player who is overall a better prospect. Unless Jonah makes it to 48.

Going to have to trade up at from 98 if we go bpa for a guard or alternatively trade back 5-10 spots maybe pick up another 4th then take one of the guards.

If we dont like our options at 48 I would rather trade down and pick up some extra draft capital. I hope we dont settle for a player we aren't excited about.

Don’t love it.

Has us passing on Savaii and Revel. I’m definitely taking Savaii and think I’d rather gamble on Revel than take Watts. Watts is good probably a starter but doesn’t seem special. Give me special or fill our decade long need on the oline.

There is a MASSIVE drop off between the day 2 and day 3 OL. Absolutely cannot leave OL to pick 98 and hope we will get lucky enough to find a starter. If you look at most big boards the best OT/OG are all inside the top 100 and then there is a huge gap of 40-50 spots until the next OL. If we had our own 3rd round pick still I’d say you could plausibly go CB at 48 and still land a starting OL.
I think you choose the best available of those two positions. Philosophically I’d prefer a guard or a tackle, but in either case you can also supliment with a Gree agent signing after the draft if required.

He hasn’t but I think he can. He also runs 4.8 at over 300 pounds
I love him. But I'm nervous about the fit due to his current postion at center. Miami needs OG's. I trust your judgment. I really hope he's the pick.

I took a look at the "best available? list on espn(espn sucks) and none of the first 15 players is a guard. If the board goes that way tonight we could draft the first OL guy tonight which is fine with me

I’m guessing Shaduer goes 33rd overall. A strong chance the Browns follow that up with a WR at 36. Houston could also be looking at WR at 35.

Titans still need a lot so they could go any which way.

Bears have to be targeting Mike Green or Donovan Ezeiruaka at 39, and a strong possibility they take an OL or RB at 41. Luther Burden could be a possibility there.
I think Cleveland doesn't want the circus after Watson.....
