@j-off-her-doll @dolfan91 would you guys say this is the worst draft so far of the 2020s?
I think this might be the worst draft we will see this decade.
Qbs - absolutely stink
Rbs - very good
Wrs - only a handful of decent ones
Tes - very good
Oline - very few Tackles
Edge - probably average
DTs - above average
Lbs - very few
Corners- very bad
Safties - average
I think this draft sucks.
It's been widely considered a weak class at QB, OT, and WR,
But fortunately it's also been considered by the consensus out there to be very strong at the following positions.
RB: It's expected to have 25 or more RB's drafted over the course of the draft. Some draftniks have said it is the deepest RB group ever. Big praise if you ask me, and points to how talented the group is.
DT: The DT group is also very deep with about 25 or so, expected to be drafted.
Edge: I've read the edge group could have as many as 18 go in the first three rounds. And it's expected to have as many as 30 draftable players selected.
CB, TE, IOL and Safety are top heavy. Day two is expected to be where most of the higher end talent at these positions are expected to be drafted. Although there are a lot of lower tier players expected to be drafted, that are considered developable talent. Not a lot of top end talent early but lots to choose from later on.
In short. Defense and RB is where it's at in 2025. Teams are going to find starting caliber and rotational pieces into the later rounds, as well as, UDFA. They'll be reaches early at OT and QB. Which could help Miami find servicable talent on day two.
In looking ahead, from what I've been able to gather from around the web, 2026 is strong at QB, LB and Edge. I'm hoping to have more updated info on 2026, once the draft ends on Saturday.
