NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

@j-off-her-doll @dolfan91 would you guys say this is the worst draft so far of the 2020s?

I think this might be the worst draft we will see this decade.

Qbs - absolutely stink

Rbs - very good

Wrs - only a handful of decent ones

Tes - very good

Oline - very few Tackles

Edge - probably average

DTs - above average

Lbs - very few

Corners- very bad

Safties - average

I think this draft sucks.
It's been widely considered a weak class at QB, OT, and WR,

But fortunately it's also been considered by the consensus out there to be very strong at the following positions.

RB: It's expected to have 25 or more RB's drafted over the course of the draft. Some draftniks have said it is the deepest RB group ever. Big praise if you ask me, and points to how talented the group is.

DT: The DT group is also very deep with about 25 or so, expected to be drafted.

Edge: I've read the edge group could have as many as 18 go in the first three rounds. And it's expected to have as many as 30 draftable players selected.

CB, TE, IOL and Safety are top heavy. Day two is expected to be where most of the higher end talent at these positions are expected to be drafted. Although there are a lot of lower tier players expected to be drafted, that are considered developable talent. Not a lot of top end talent early but lots to choose from later on.

In short. Defense and RB is where it's at in 2025. Teams are going to find starting caliber and rotational pieces into the later rounds, as well as, UDFA. They'll be reaches early at OT and QB. Which could help Miami find servicable talent on day two.

In looking ahead, from what I've been able to gather from around the web, 2026 is strong at QB, LB and Edge. I'm hoping to have more updated info on 2026, once the draft ends on Saturday.

Second also. I can’t wrap my mind around what people see him as an NFL QB.

His ceiling is being a backup or gadget. His floor is total flame out. It’s truly baffling to me

He’s a better runner than Justin fields.

He’s got a powerful arm.

His work ethic is off the charts

Imo if he was on the team let’s say as a complete developmental player you start to build plays in a Rpo system where he can run or pass in every play, and if he passes he knows where he going with the ball.

That threat after he takes off and runs with his talent plants the seed against the defense, once that is established a residual affect will happen and lanes will open making it easier for him.

The point is you build the ultimate ground game and have him make 15 throws a game.

Control the ball and build your defense

Well, I hope he goes to the Jets or that the Bills and/Pats needed a QB wanted him.

Whoever is a direct competitor to the Dolphins, that’s where I want him

Still haven’t heard what the medical concern with Harmon is

No, I'd say 2022 was worse.
