NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

its funny i know our season is already cooked but theyve hooked me in again witb excitement for the draft like we gonna actually ace it for once. just to be disappointed again.

I hate this team. Cross we all bear.
The draft is just always fun. It's like Christmas..... except all we open are packs of socks

This is the tough part with being so deep.

Who is there at 13 that some team would be desperate to trade up for?
That's the hope. Miami could get a very favorable deal trading down from #13. Think the year Wilkins was drafted at #13. Philly offered several picks including a #1 in the following draft for the opportunity to trade up. Not saying Miami will get a #1 next year. That'll depend on how desperate a team is and the player available.

As for Deone Walker, his problem is his pad levels being too high. He still has not learned to lower it. He proved during senior bowl practices, he's as strong as an Ox 🐂. That's not his problem. It's technique.
Yep well said. People let Chris jones slide due to pad level too. Walker is a stud w/ Chris jones type ceiling but he’s a long way from that

Grier is notorious for reaching on players , expect a Charles Harris pick.

5th round would be fine, depending which rb is stillon the board and the talent s withtill available ata few other positions. If they bypass the running back position in rounds 1-5, I would be ok Achane, Wright, Gus Edwards (if he can be signed on a good deal) and Mattison. Maybe have a 7th rounder or udfa in camp to compete with Mattison. Phil Mafah might be worth a look in round 7 as a big back developmental prospect.
Who was that big RB from the University of Cincinnati we drafted a few years back? Was Mr. Grier part of that draft?

Team is never as bad as some people think in down seasons and never as good as other make them out to be in good years. If a few breaks go Miami's way they could be a wildcard team, but also understand if a few things go wrong the could finish with 6 or 7 wins. If we go into the season with level headed expectations the ride isn't so traumatic. When we start talking about Super Bowl expectations for a team that hasn't won a playoff game, that's when people are bound to be facing a letdown at some point.

The good news is, the 2026 appears to be loaded at QB, Edge and LB. All positions Miami might need to address. I'm still gathering info on the other positions for next year. But since far those 3 positions seem very strong.

Off ball lb? If so I look forward to that

The road path with this style offense will never win anytbing. If we don’t win the division we are cooked every year. As long as it’s Tua leading it.

Our style offense doesn’t travel well period. Let alone on the road in elements in win or go home games.
