I generally find myself agreeing with him, but I won't put the opinion of anyone here when it comes to OLs over that of Manyweather, Baldinger, et al.@GRYPHONK opinion does.![]()

I know I’ve been giving you a hard time about Grey Zabel, but even though I don’t think Kelvin Banks would be a great left tackle, I do think he could be a very good guard in Miami’s scheme and I could live with him being the pick at 13. I think the way the first round looks like it’s shaping up, Banks definitely should be in the discussion as the pick. I think it comes down to Will Johnson, Jahdae Barron, Derrick Harmon, Kenneth Grant, or Kelvin Banks if Miami is stuck picking at 13 and can’t or is not willing to trade down.Ok, so there's no player in this years draft you'd be willing to trade next year's first for?
What I should have stated more clearly is that I do not let RAS override what we see on the field. As someone else pointed out, can you imagine how poor an RAS score Zach Thomas or John Offerdahl would have had back then?
There are certain things I look for. 3 cone for WRs and DBs. Shuttle for OLs. For example. But the entire comglomerate of what makes an RAS isn't something I lend much influence to.
I just like giving @GRYPHONK a hard time because he thinks Zabel will be a bust. I think Zabel is going to be very good and valuable for some organization for a long time.I generally find myself agreeing with him, but I won't put the opinion of anyone here when it comes to OLs over that of Manyweather, Baldinger, et al.
A weaker roster and what looks to be a tougher schedule. If Tua misses 6 games again, a 5 win season would not be shocking. So, I am seeing a common theme here.
The vast majority appear to believe Miami will be picking top 5 of the draft.
I find it odd since nothing these last 5 years indicates Miami will be sniffing a top 5 pick. But it appears people are convinced Miami will be in position to draft a QB.
I think many of you are going to be surprised, or disappointed depending on how you look at it if you're expecting that this year.
Yea Stewert is the biggest risk of bust of any 1st round prospect if you ask me.... well Sanders is too but you get what I'm saying. That guy has no counter moves at all. Every pass rush rep looks exactly the same to me. He just doesn’t look like he ever has an answer.
I don’t think Miami will be picking in the top five next season but anything is possible. I can, however, see Miami resetting next season with a new GM and head coach if things don’t go well and I would not want the new GM handcuffed by more bad Grier decisions. A new GM and coach may want to move on from Tua or be forced to because of his health. They have to have maneuverability. So, I am seeing a common theme here.

We lost by far our best Olinemen and the leader of our defense in Campbell. Plus we're losing Ramsey. So, I am seeing a common theme here.

I don't know if we'll have a top 5 necessarily, but I have zero confidence in Grier as a GM or MickeyD as a HC. I also believe this is the final year for them and Tua and would prefer a new GM and HC pick our knew QB at whatever draft position, which will be higher than the Eagles pick. That's just me.So, I am seeing a common theme here.

Dolphins best offensive players PFF IN 2024Gotcha
Like I said, if this is Tuas last year, then I would not even think of using any picks next year as I would agree we would need them for a QB.
However, unlike some, whether they want to admit it or not, this team with Tua will win 7+ games. SO EVEN if we're moving on, then should start realizing Miami will most likely be picking 10-15, on a bad season. Unless Tua is injured early for a long time of course.
Also, I like the idea of the next GM utilizing the picks, not Grier if in fact Grier is gone too.
As I stated, I look at this situation too simplistic. But it makes sense why many wouldn't even consider trading next year's first. It's a gamble not worth taking, especially if you believe we are resetting/ rebuildinh
