NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

Starks leaves a lot to be desired in thr run game both angles and physicality. And I don’t believe coverage safeties move the needle much. Not enough to draft one high. There’s decent safeties all over free agency year after year

I’ve seen starks straight give up on plays when he had an angle. That doesn’t normally reverse itself in a lean safety

And at 13 I expect a safety that likes to get his nose in thr los

Yeah maybe mason graham too although at times I was more impressed with Grant real time game looks.

Would be an ideal 3 tech though

Abdul carter absolutely id be in but that’s going top 3 worst case.

Thought I was the only one. For the record I love Graham and I’d run the card up if he makes it to 13. I think he’s a very clean prospect, very similar to Christian Wilkins in that regard and they have a similar playing style as well. His floor is higher than Grant’s, but I also believe Grant has a higher ceiling. Graham would be a slam dunk for the Dolphins at 13.

yup got to take him if he is there at #13. that would be incredibly lucky. i don't think even grier could screw that up, but maybe he could. i guess if will campbell were also to fall to #13 (hard to believe both could fall that far), that is about the only dilemma i can come up with. otherwise this one would be straightforward in my book. you don't trade back at that point either.

Yeah that’s a good point I do think there’s times he plays a little lean. I like that word choice.

Depends on who the player is. For Graham who’s a clear cut top 5 pick if it means giving up a 3rd to get it I’m okay with it. Any more than probably not. It’s an elite talent strapped draft and he’s one of the maybe 5 in it. While we have a ton of holes and might be needed, we aren’t fixing everything in a year so landing a top 5 player at a position of need is a massive win.
I would never move up in the first round unless it was for a QB or I was one of those teams at the bottom of the draft and have a loaded team and don’t have many roster spots open to begin with. Miami isn’t one player away from being a contender and they aren’t moving up for a QB this year. No way do I want them to move up especially for a DT in a loaded DT class.

That’s probably Miamis stance. I don’t think one elite player is gonna save Griers job anymore than multiple solid ones come the end of 2025 though.

But still probably their stance given the roster outlook.

Reactions: A1.
Hoping we trade Hill, Ramsey, #13 for Clevelands 2nd rounder and take Travis Hunter. Immediate start at CB and McDaniels will find some nice WR packages.

Ewwww.

You'd pass on Carter and Graham for Hunter? I dunno, I have a hard time going for a guy already threatening teams that won't let him play both ways.

I'll stick with trenches personally. I love the trade idea, just not the player.

Here's a thought. The value of Hill and Ramsey isn't great, but the #2 pick is.

In this fantasy scenario, Miami would get back a lot more by trading away the #2 pick then they would get for trading Hill and Ramsey straight up. Just sayinh
