NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

FH has a no spoiler draft policy right? Need to know before tomorrow night!

My buddy was at the draft last year and he said everyone there knew the picks with 5-10 min left on the clock. He said in some instances they knew the next 2-3 picks at a time. 😮

For me I don’t mind spoilers in movies and whatnot, but this is my Super Bowl and it completely kills the experience.

So generally a future first is worth around what pick 25 is in the current year and a 3rd rounder would be worth about what pick 90 is. So going off that

Jax pick 5 is worth 1,700

Den pick 5 is 850 + 51 is 390 = 1,240
Future 1st is 700 + 3rd is 140 = 840

Plus Sutton who's worth a mid 2nd at his age = 350

For a grand total of 2,430 for a pick worth 1,700

So is this real???

The anticipation is killing me man. They need to stop.

In the last 2 hours Miami has been able to draft Graham, then Membou and now it appears the vast majority are slating Banks to Miami at 13. I would LOVE any of those

I really don't want to wake up, because I know WHEN I do, I'll be hearing

"And with the 13th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select .....Emeka Engbuka WR ( sorry I horribly misspelled the name).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There's no way, what is that on the value chart? Sutton too? That's Draft Day the movie levels of stupidity.

It’s about even. Next year picks are considered the value of the next round so value wise the 2026 picks are a 2nd and a 4th. Picks make it about even and whatever Sutton is worth maybe puts it a little over.

Yes you will absolutely want to stay off here tomorrow if you don't want spoilers.

Again you talk without knowing the facts, I just broke it down, it's not even close.

No future picks are considered as the next round so their 1st next year is worth the same as their second so 390 it’s 1680 for 1700 plus whatever Sutton is worth

Yup, I still remember 2 years ago. I was watching the draft coverage with Trent Green I think. I would start typing the pick in the Forum.

I got lambasted man. I got called every name on the book lol.

Little did I know, what I was watching was like 2 minutes ahead of what everyone else was watching. I had no clue why everyone was so upset with me. I spoiled picks 9-22 I think before the revolution started.

Haven't been the first one to type a drafted player since

Nope once again I’m right and just because you don’t understand something you think someone else is wrong lmao

It’s literally the rule with anything asset related. Nothing later is better than that asset up front. Money now is better than money later, picks now are worth more than picks later.

Feel free to break down any past trade, if you go by your wrong logic almost every trade will be over however if you use the correct way that the nfl uses it’ll be close.

You think Grier made the greatest robbery in nfl history and got 3600+ value for the 2200 over valued pick when he traded from 3 to 12? No he got nfl value when you take 12 which is worth 1200 then add the two future 1st at the next round rate gives you 2120. Add the 3rd for that year they also sent and it’s 2310. Grier got a little better value which will happen in a qb heavy draft but certainly didn’t pull a draft heist or anything.

You can post your apology here or dm me whichever makes you more comfortable and I’m glad I can educate you further on the topic once again.

The coverage tips it off anyways by showing someone on their phone speaking to a team.
Chris Berman was notorious for doing it because he'd get the pick before the commissioner came out
I do remember the year Ted Ginn got drafted Berman paused and kind of gave a "wtf did i just hear" expression

Mayock praised Zabel as being ‘smart’ and ‘intensely tough’, highlighting his ability to play across the offensive line in a number of different positions.

“I think Will Johnson is in play regardless,” said Mayock.

“Obviously, if something happens and they’re able to move on and generate draft picks, it would be interesting to see what the picks are they get for a 31-year-old guy, he’s guaranteed, I forget, $25million, $26million this year.

“To be really honest, I thought that through, I almost gave them Will Johnson, I said, ‘you know what, the most important thing for this team is keeping Tua upright.

“I don’t like their offensive line, I haven’t for the last few years. They’ve invested some draft capital, but it hasn’t worked out the way they had hoped.

“This is probably higher than most people, because I love this kid, but I’m looking at Grey Zabel, North Dakota State, who can play all five positions – they can line him up at tackle, they can kick him inside to guard or center.

“I think this kid is smart, I think he’s intensely tough, and they need some of that on that offensive line. They need to kickstart that run game that really struggled last year, but most importantly, they’ve got to keep Tua up and off of him – I’m going Zabel,” he added.
