NFL Network says a 3rd for Nicks...

I tend to agree with the above poster. The O-Line is our problem. Not receivers. Send a 2nd or a 3rd for a OT or a OG. Not a WR.

I'd pull the trigger on that one in a heartbeat. The odds are heavily against getting a wide receiver in the third round who's anywhere near as good as Nicks.

you guys do understand that we just gave mike wallace 30 mil guaranteed and hartline nearly half of that, and nicks is a FA at the end of this season? he is going to want big money. no way we resign him. so you want to give up a 3rd to rent nicks for half a season on a team that likely isnt going anywhere? that is a jeff ireland move.

The only way I could see Ireland making a move for a guy like Nicks is if he was told 'playoffs of pack.' Otherwise, I can't see it either.

1) He's a free agent and you also have to pay him a boatload of money on top of that 3rd to keep him beyond the next 8 weeks
2) Watch a NY Giants game this year. Nicks is overweight, slow, and can't get off the line of scrimmage or seperation

Doesn't anyone look past the compensation? He is a FA at the end of the year and no way in hell do you franchise him. So we would probably lose him. No thanks unless we can reach a reasonable 3 year deal at time of trade.

That would have to be part of the deal, sure.

I actually like Nicks, so no I don't want the Dolphins to get him. Players come here and they turn into ****. B Marshall was my favorite wr. The morning we traded for him was like Christmas, now I can't even watch him. I don't know what it is, but players come here and it's over for them. I am not rooting for any of my favorite players to play for my favorite team. I'm a headcase apparently lol

Why trade for anyone? We're not going to the playoffs. Our coaches won't be able to utilize him properly. Tannehill will likely get his head taken off by another "lead the receiver to the guillotine" pass.

Can we trade them Mike Wallace straight up?
