NFL Network says a 3rd for Nicks...

At first I thought this meant Carl Nicks and I got a little excited, then I remembered he has MRSA and then saw it was for the WR.
 
Pass. We should not be desperate for a WR/ We have Hartline and Wallace. Matthews is showing a lot of promise.
 
If the ultimatum was laid down of Playoffs or Bust then why the hell would Ireland care if Nicks is a FA. If he doesn't sniff the playoffs, he's out so why would he care about a 3rd rounder he isn't going to use anyways? Desparate=Dumb so it is definately in the wheelhouse of our organization.
 
3rd rounder for a one year rental player?

No way we would sign Nicks to a long term deal with Hartline, Gibson, and Wallace already on new contracts.

agree...no point in this..we have talent at WR, but there's no point having all this talent if the coaches can't be inventive and efficient in their play calling & oh give T-hill some time to actually throw the ball would help.
 
Nicks has been awful this year. He's also a free agent in just a few months, and we have too much money tied up in our WR corp already. I'll pass.

Egnew should get more plays and more looks his way.
Sims - same as Egnew
Miller -Thomas and Thigpen
Either Ireland will get fired and the New Gm will need those picks or Ireland will stay and draft players who are hurt.

if Wallace gets hurt then Miami is back to their offense of last year.
