Fangio has found his groove again. That defense in Philly is becoming quite special.

He hasn’t found anything but the motivation to actually do a good job. Dude took a massive check from the Phins to coast after he asked for the moon. **** him.

He's found his calling. He got what he wanted both in the job and in the players he's coaching. Most probably a Super Bowl type team.

Threatening to not sign a rookie deal and re-enter the 2026 draft.

If a top prospect tells a team he won’t sign with them, that’s a major deterrent for said team. A GM can’t risk a top 5 pick not willing to sign with his club, they’ll move to another prospect.

I encourage these prospects to flex their leverage and try and sway their selection to a preferred destination.
If you do the math on missing out on the first season of top draft pick pro money, and getting your second contract a year later - it does not make sense.

It’s an empty threat for a WR/CB.

For a QB you can easily argue that the circumstances dictate success. Plenty of franchises have broken rookie QBs. Carr at the Texans ran for his life for two years, and never recovered. He permanently had the yips.

Its enough of a threat from a draftee to not let a GM rethink possibly adding someone who clearly doesn't want to play for that team.

It only works for the top prospects, who have that kind of leverage.

Before NIL money became a thing, I'd agree.

Now though, these kids have enough money to wait it out.

Letting these kids dictate where they will go ruins the integrity of the draft. If the NFL allows this behavior to continue it will go the way of the NBA and become another unwatchable product.

With the Giants benching Daniel Jones today, it appears he’s unofficially a free agent, as he will undoubtedly be released in February.

Would love to add him as backup in the off season. Miami would be a great situation for him.
