NFL Rumors: Daniel Thomas or Mike Gillislee to be cut by Miami Dolphins!!

The most likely to be cut is Thigpen, imo. I'll be pretty bummed if he makes the 53. He just isn't very good.
 
Thigpen was very good on returns in 2012 but, not last year. The big difference was our blocking on special teams. It was night and day from 2012, with the big turnover in personnel, and we do not have anyone to replace him.

It's interesting that you mention that, because Moreno's DVOA (value per play) was a bit higher than Ball's last year and way better than their other RB. DVOA is great at comparing players on the same team (as opposed to players on different contexts). Moreno, meanwhile, could have a disappointing year running the ball, but at least he won't get killed by those blitzers as our RBs were last year.
 
Why cut either at this point September is a long time away. Competition is great bring another rookies in and let them play. Things will even out.
 
DT ran hard last year but, had very few openings. However, he was very disappointing in short yardage and pass protect. I don't like Gillislee at all.

I believe we will be looking for a power runner in the draft, and if we come up empty, maybe consider Kuhn.

I don't understand all the talk about Thigpen not being good. Barely anything from last year went well.....but just a season prior he was one of the most feared return men in the league. He's plenty talented and versatile.

I honestly would be surprised if they cut Thomas, unless they picked up some top notch RB somewhere.
 
cut thigpen he is nothing special gillislee is young and has that edge i think can't cut him just yet

IMO Kuhn is one of the most over rated players in the league. He gets a lot of short yardage TD's because he gets like 5 chances per game. The packers running game sucked before Lacey came in.

I wish we would of nabbed up Lacy in the 2013 draft... And you're right about the packers run game prior to Lacy.. Gillisie is a big ??? I hope he shows promise this season..
 
Both guys are below average...I would dump both of them.

Not last season. He had 10 rushing attempts in 15 games and only 2 attempts within opposing teams 10 yard line

Not in 2012 either as Kuhn had 23 total rushing attempts with only 1 attempt within opposing teams 10 yard line
He also only ran for 3 first downs all season
