NFP Sunday Blitz-Is Tannehill being pushed up the boards?

There's just no way in hell that Tannehill is worth the 8th overall pick. That is really reaching. Some scouts have said they have Tannehill rated as a 2nd rounder. I don't want the guy unless we get him in a trade down scenario. It would be a waste getting him #8 overall.

Smart dude...need more like him on this board.

Throughout the track record of ireland as GM, please tell me this...

IN WHICH OF HIS YEARS HAS HE EVER DRAFTED THE BPA?

He has always drafted ASTOUNDING REACHES at his fetish positions (OL and def. front 7). Players who usually/often were graded a FULL ROUND lower by all other franchises but were must-have guys for ireland. While others gleefully have picked future HOF'ers after we have passed on them.

So how does it hurt to "reach" JUST ONCE for the MOST IMPORTANT SKILL POSITION in today's NFL?

Neither Vontae Davis, Jake Long, or Jared Odrick were reaches. Pouncey went 3 spots higher than his brother, so while technically a reach, it would be a slight one. So please, who exactly was drafted a full round higher than they were supposed to...?

Tannehill is a big reach with the #8 overall pick. If Landry Jones and Matt Barkley had entered the draft this year then Tannehill would've been the 5th best QB and would not be picked in Round 1. Therefore how the hell can you justify picking him 8th overall??!! He isn't worth it and some scouts say they would NOT pick Tannehill anywhere in Round 1.

And I will say it for the millionth time, Tannehill has only 9 inch hands. That is very small hands for an NFL QB and a huge concern when we play in cold weather or wet weather games. He will have problems. Bank on it.

If we could trade down a few spots and still get a Floyd, then I would do it and package our extra picks to move back up into the first round and take Weeden or Cousins. The lack of experience and starts that Tannehill have concerns me at number 8.
This! Tannehill is NOT worth 8th pick. Get Floyd and draft a different qb or wait til next season to get one. Miami has many holes to fill no need to reach for a over rated qb just to say we drafted one.lol

The ultimate no win situation. Hopefully the Brownie's solve this for us. The guy has not done enough winning to be our savior. A&M was supposed to be a lot better than they were last year and Tannehill had something to do with that. He had chances to win games late and did not. I say BPA or trade down... IF... he's still there later maybe we take a chance but not at #8
