Guards
Chris Snee was outstanding as a rookie for the Giants, standing up to big, tough defensive tackles. With his nasty disposition and doggedness, Snee can emerge as a Pro Bowl-caliber player.

Rex Hadnot became a starter for the Dolphins late last season, and now he looks like the most physical, hard-nosed blocker on the team. He has the athleticism to get to the second level and the toughness to win the short-area battles.

Thanks for the report, This is good news, our O-line is going to be very key in our success.

Funny how that ended up workin out for Tom Coughlin. Everyone thought he was just drafting Snee as high as he did because he was his son-in-law.

Snee was a really highly rated player that actually dropped a bit.

Why we passed on him as well as others to pick Vernon Carey is still beyond me. Hopefully Carey proves his worth this year.

I think Carey will do fine. I think McKinney will be the weak link.

I think Seth will be the good surprise..Him and carey were the best examples of poor coaching we had

I hope you're right!!

Snee is definitely going to be a star barring injuries. But guys yet again, more good news about our O line. This has to bode well for the new season. i've never heard so much praise heaped upon a unit that ranked dead last in just about every category last season. long may it continue ;)

Our C position is a concern right now since McKinney didn't have what it took to be a good C last year. Hopefully Houck will teach him the ways to be a good C, if not then i hope that Smith can do the job.

I have to agree. I dont think any one of our linemen can be fairly judged from last season. I believe that Damion McIntosh is one of the better tackles in the league

I guess I should have explained more. There were other lineman on the board at that time (2004) that I thought we should take in the later rounds. I was never super impressed with Carey. Chris Snee, and Justin Smiley were the guys I was impressed with. If Gallery and Andrews were off the board by our pick, I didn't see us picking an O-lineman in the first. I thought it would make more sense to grab Snee or Smiley in the later rounds.

The offensive line is the unit that excites me the most about next year. I always thought that our o-line would eventually come 2gether as a decent unit even before we got Houck to coach. We've invested alot of draft picks into this line and I always thought it was just a matter of time before the young guys we drafted would eventually mature and become good players. Hadnot might be a our best lineman and I remember how most draft gurus said we reached on him in the 4th rd! That just shows you how much those idiots know. I think Carey could also turn into a good tackle if hes given playing time. Id be dissaponted to see an overrated and injury prone guy like Mcintosh (stupid signing) start over Carey. Its incredible how our biggest weakness suddenly looks like a strength and whats even better is that noone on our line is 30 or over and alot of our starters are under 26. This could be a great line for us for many years to come.

correct me if I'm wrong, but since he's been playing LT,so how long would take to him pick up the center position?I agree he could be an option under Houck to play center if Mckinney fails, though long or short term?
