What do you expect he said if we hire Mccoy it will be a great day in dolphin history wtf. It might end up being that way but at this point thats a helluva stretch.

Today could just be the day they inform the coach who got the job and work out a contract, than McCoy(assuming he gets the job) gets his belongings together and his family and comes in for a press conference tomorrow. Honestly, I never expected the process to go so fast today that they would have an afternoon press conference.

It's also a way of burying the announcement by doing it on a weekend.

I am just being realistic and rational, sorry I don't have knee jerk reactions like you do.
 
The concern I have is the Senior Bowl is a week away. Ireland missed the East West Shrine Game already and they can't afford to miss the upcoming practices.
 
Jason La Canfora tweeted (sp) earlier that it could be announced by the end of the day. It's not the end of the day yet. It would be nice to know just so I could get some work done today and stop checking FINHEAVEN for news.
 
The longer you string the candidates along, the more likely they are to take offers elsewhere. Just my 2 cents.
 
I think when fisher went to the rams they announced it on friday and did not have the presser until monday not sure though??????

Yeah i was thinking about that too. You would think they would want a staff in place before the senior bowl.

I know but it is like the Harbaugh situation last year. Our owner flies and helicopters around and after all these meetings he still cannot make a decision. It's like a General on the battlefield who cannot lead his men because he is paralyzed by indecision.
 
Not a big deal. They will have a new HC by the end of the weekend. Then the Dolphins have a press conference on Monday. This timeline gives the new HC an opportunity to work on building his coaching staff.

I said yesterday that I don't think they make an announcement till Thursday or Friday next week. Doesn't mean there won't be a new head coach. I said they would get a new head coach today or tomorrow, fly out to the senior bowl on Monday and then come back and do the press conference on Thursday when the rest of the scouts and coaches leave the senior bowl.
