No excuses lets change Dolphins Stadium

Out here in Calif.I get to watch the Phins at the Chargers, most games have been very loud and almost overrun by Phin fans.Dec.will be my first home game against KC .YOU WILL HEAR ME !!!!!

Believe me dude, I have tried as I am sure most of us do. I get into my seat and I do not stay there for long before I get half the section going. However you cannot get an entire stadium screaming unless you sell out that entire stadium

ow can a football fan, someone at a football stadium, not be compelled to scream on 3rd and long, it just doesnt seem possible

Hey all dolfans! I ****in love the phins and im sure all of you do too. Lets make that stadium loud this year. i mean im from the burgh and have been to games in Cleveland, Kansas City and Buffalo. Those are all loud stadiums i mean pittsburghs is just insane too. I love the fact that you literally can change plays on third downs and have lineman false start or recievers run the wrong route. Loudness causes chaos. From weak one we need to change the attitude in South florida. I know it wont happen but just wanting some hardcore dolfans opinions

My opinion is that it does get loud, but it could get louder. Not because the fans don't yell loud enough though.

The main problem is how the seats are so far away from the field, especially the sideline seats!

I've been to one of the loudest stadiums in the league, and it's right here in Miami. The Orange Bowl!! The seats are almost right on the field, and most of the seats are aluminum!! If you had the pleasure of seeing a game there in the 70's you would know what an echo does to the decimal meter. You might have left with a sore (_)_), but the voice was the same as it is now when the games over.......you hardly can utter a word.

Well I can only speak for myself, but there isn't a day after a home game that I am able to speak very well. The biggest problem is the people in the lower level. I've had season tickets in 429 for 10 years now. Most people are pretty loud up there. But I have sat in the lower level for a few games and been told by the peolpe behind me to sit down so they can see. My response has not been very nice and needless to say I didn't sit the rest of the game. Also, the PA announcer (Kenny Walker) doesn't do much to fire anyone up. And one more thing about the stadium, they never show replays on the big screens.

The only time I've had problems with people asking me to sit down is when I had club seats.

The rest of the lower bowl is very loud, especially the end zones. Up high hear yourselves, and the noise coming at you from below.

I've only been to a game in Tampa (no I hate the Bucs), and it seemed to me that the majority of people were paying more attention to getting beer than watching the game. Is Miami the same way?

Never been to miami ,but went to some bills games before marino retired it was loud. I was shoked at how many fin fans there were. Sad to say every time i went they beat us my stepdad is a bills fan so u could imagine the ride home:fire:

The Fins have great fans. The problem is they are living all over the country. So.Fla has lots of mixed loyalties due to all of the transplants. That being said, the real problem is the configuration of the stadium plus a class based seating structure which promotes the corporate class to come out and do business. I've said it many times, but when i was a kid the Orange Bowl absolutely rocked. It was easily in the top 2 along with Mile High in Denver. I remember being at that monday night game against Philly, when Jaworski couldn't call his plays. That was awesome!

I just hope that if Wayne goes through with his stadium renovation plans he moves the seats closer and changes the configuration. We lost a competitive advantage when we lost the Orange Bowl.

I support your spirit though. If we could get the stadium to the level that it reached when we beat the Colts in the Lamar Smith 209 yd OT playoff game that would be terrific.

My god I'll never forget that game. I believe Jim Mandich was screaming his lungs off as Lamar Smith carried defenders into the endzone.

I get infuriated when the people behind you ask you to sit down when you are getting pumped for your team. We payed our 60 bucks just like they did so they have no right to complain; we are not at a library, we are at Dolphins Stadium. Come time for week one, it is up to us to bring the noise. It is time for Dolphins Stadium to become one of the most hostile enviroments in football.

I miss the Orange Bowl...I never actually went there but I saw so many T.V. games.

My most vivid memory was the Monday Nighter against the the unbeaten Bears. When the Bears crossed the 30 into the closed end Steve Fuller stopped play about a dozen times because he could'nt hear anything.

I don't understand how anyone could stay in their seat when the defense is on the field....I make noise at home in front of my damn T.V...

now this is the kind of discusions we should be having.

now if only mercury and i could hightail it down there we would cause a ruckus that could be heard in new england.
on the flip side its hard to be loud if you have laringitis (spp.) pleas dont change the name dolphins stadium sounds sooooo cool to me here are some other names though.
#1 dolphins palace
#2 dolphins house of pain
#3 dolphins campus

you could have the greatest fans in the world, the way that stadium is set up it isn't made for a super-loud crazy atmosphere.

Move the stands closer to the sidelines. Lower the endzone seating a bit, and do some other fan-friendly things and then maybe, just maybe you will have a better atmosphere.
i agree with you 110 %, remember the orange bowl ? now that was a football stadium and it was loud too.

Hey Miami Byrd, I don't want a dome stadium. Rain is part of the game. Let the sissy baseball players go home when it rains. I'll stay there and cheer my Dolphins on (like I did during the Monday Night game against Chicago when they retired Larry Csonka jersey).

I agree 100%. Everytime I go to a game I try and hype people up but they all sit back and don't do anything. Maybe it does have to do with the heat, b/c for some people it is hard to be out in the heat the whole time yelling and screaming. But another problem is easily the diversity down here. Go to a Phins-Jets game down in Miami and it is at least 70-30 ratio, which is horrible for a home team to only have 70% of the crowd. I have been to endless Giants games, and that is a stadium when you see committed die-hard fans who treasure every minute of the game. I really think the main reason is due to location.
