No love for us, Fox Sports already has us as a draft loser..

I don't dispute that. I watch bbc quite often for a different perspective that you don't get from the big news corps here in America. I just don't prescribe to the notion that they are unbiased and completely objective.

No one on earth is completely objective and unbiased. It's laughable that anyone out there thinks otherwise, especially about the BBC.

Who said they are completely objective? There are degrees, and it's night and day between a station like BBC and anything you'll see on TV here in the states...

loser: miami dolphins

the dolphins gave their fans hope by taking quarterback ryan tannehill, but their hand was forced after having such a disappointing offseason. after whiffing on quarterbacks matt flynn and peyton manning in free agency, dolphins owner stephen ross and general manager jeff ireland had to find a face of the franchise. unfortunately for them, tannehill will be thrown into action immediately and won’t be given the proper time to develop, as he has only 19 starts at the college level. |

Really? We are a loser already? Wow, we are not "media darlings"

i discredit that whole statement by FOX sports by assuming that he'll be thrown in right away with no time to develop .. apparently they've never heard of a guy named matt moore

I've always hated the post draft/winner loser crap. It's always rubbed me wrong how these media elite blowholes like to judge everything by the prism in which they see things. Who are they to say, who "won" and who "lost" These players haven't even put the jersey on yet, and these jerkwads are judging who's gonna be good, and who isn't. The teams picking the players, typically have an idea of what kind of player they're looking for. The people in the media don't know what they playbooks are gonna look like, or exactly what system is going to be put into place for these young players. And to say, for example, Tannehill is a "20" overall talent, but he gets picked at "8" so that makes Miami a "loser" because he was drafted ahead of where the media rates him. Well, If Miami had a pick at "20" then they would pick him then, but they don't. If they want him, then pick 8 it is. It's easy to sit there and say Miami is reaching, but they know what they want. If you don't think they're gonna be there when your next pick comes around, or if you don't think you're gonna be able to work a trade before someone else gets him, you do what you gotta do.

I'd be curious to see, throughout history, how many times the media called someone a "loser" after their draft, and that draft, turn out to be very successful. The media gets to blabber on, without ever having to account for their past mistakes.

........ sorry bout the rant, it just agrivates me.

He let all of them talk all the crap> We will see what happens

I like how we whiffed on Flynn... The coach that new him the most other than the HC at GB said he wasnt worth the big money that Flynn wanted. The coach the knew more about Tannehill than anybody else said he was worth the #8 pick. We whiffed on Peyton. But thats it

Oh, you can absolutely find biased reporters for the BBC. One that especially comes to mind is Jeremy Bowen.

Moore went undrafted with no expectation of starting. Tannehill was drafted top 10. Big f'n difference.

thread turned political. great.

dirty sanches is a bust....lets talk about it

I dont think we whiffed on Manning and Flynn, more that we liked the upside of tannehill..I really could care less what "so called" draft experts like Mel Kiper think. Those guys are idiots who mascarade as experts. I trust the real experts on our staff like Joe Philbin, Mike Sherman and yes Jeff Ireland...
