No more questions for Richie

in barry Jackson's blog Martin was said to want to be traded.

This is what we want people. Hell, take a 5th or 6th rd. pick. Ireland turns them into gold. get the Miami G/T. problem solved forever.
If you are a GM are you willing to trade for him? I wouldn't and not just based on how this situation has played out. Since McKinnie has taken over at LT, the OL is playing much better. I think Martin lacks the physical and mental strength and talent to ever amount to being a decent player.

Did you read the article?

A well-placed source dispelled earlier reports that Martin was not turning over text messages to Wells and had been unwilling to sit down with Richard Smith, the independent investigator for the NFLPA.

Martin has been "totally cooperative, including with respect to producing documents," the source said.

Here is a case where the forums member take a headline as fact of the article without reading the article....

I am glad to see no interviews this week...

Does anyone read the link before commenting? Does anyone know the meaning of the word "dispelled"?????? According to the link, Martin HAS been cooperating, and according to the link Martin HAS been cooperating with turning over texts. Whether its correct or not, I have no idea, but the article does NOT say what most above are assuming.

READ people!

I think Martin flipped out because of the pressure and he got bent about being pushed at times by his teammates in order to get him to improve. I think he ran home, and for a few weeks listened to his mommy, and then before he realized it, his mothers legal advice had dug him a huge hole. Now he's trying to crawl his ass out of it and save whatever is left of his career.

"Thanks mom"

I think in the end, this is going to be more of a case of a young adult not having the maturity to handle adversity and then listening to his whackadoodle lib mother whose immediate thought was how to set up a payday. By the time Martin realized that wasn't really what HE wanted, it was too late.

Trade him to Frisco for a 5th and be done with it. Frisco will go for it, he can be a solid backup with his college coach, nearby to home....and they have a crapload of extra picks again anyway, a 5th is practically a throwaway.

 I was thinking the same thing.

I'm thinking the investigation may end up saying something like Phins/Richie were wrong, but not extreme enough to sue, and that Martin got paid for the rest of this season and that will be considered enough.
Now, if that's the case, it seems Ireland/Philbin, etc may make it through unscathed...

What I really want explained is how does Pouncey's Christmas Party play into all of this? lol

Sorry guys, when I posted this it just said Martin was not turning over texts. They updated the article and changed the info

This is true, when I read the article it said he was not cooperating and refused to turn over texts.

ESPN is garbage. One of the downsides of the loss of print media. Newspapers couldn't go back and completely change a story and act like the first print never happened.

I thought I was going crazy, but no. ESPN discreetly changed a key point in the story.

ESPN story now says: "A well-placed source dispelled earlier reports that Martin was not turning over text messages to Wells ...

ESPN did in fact change its story .From last night: "Another source indicated Martin is not turning over text messages to Wells....

IMO...I think Martin fessed up and said after his therapy he realizes that his issues were more to do with him than with Richie, now the league is trying to step out of this by doing something constructive by putting in place a locker room policy to please the outsiders....Now he is writing the report to support this and Martin, Richie and the NFL are trying to work out how to end this....My suggestion, cut them both, let them keep any bonus money and they are free to sign with any team....Richie gets all back pay and lets call it a day......
