There's a reason we're talking about Streeter in 4th and 5th round terms. He's obviously raw and didn't have much guidance on the college level. Mike Wallace was also a "speedster who doesn't catch naturally with his hands." He's gotten better since he's been in the pros, but he still has a tendency to catch with his body. When you're dealing with a prospect who has a lot to work with it's worth the attempt to develop him. He is a cut above athletically to what's left, place that in the context of the situation he was in and it's easy to be intrigued by the idea of taking a late round chance on him. It's not that Canes fans lose their **** over anyone who played here, you don't see people demanding Travis or Jacory. But when you're close to the situation, you're aware that a lot of the talent from the passed few years was obscured by a completely broken coaching situation. Not even CLOSE. Hartline is 10x the WR (in this offense) that Streeter is. Streeter is a speedster who doesn't catch naturally with his hands, doesn't run routes, and can't block downfield. It's not. even. close. Hartline gets separation due to excellent routes and has fantastic hands. Bess is unathletic but cuts incredibly well and while he lacks a 2nd gear he's so quick with his cuts that he is a tremendous slot threat.
We got an amazing value from DA U in the 3rd, so just be happy with that. Not every Miami player is an absolute gem, as crazy as it sounds. Streeter will not be a pro WR for more than 2 years.
