Noodle arm nickname misplaced

Your gawd damned skippy he is, and it ain't peanut butter. The only peanut butter is inside the craniums of the Tua haters.
I would save elite until you actually win anything, like just anything other than wins against sub 500 teams during the regular season. Been half a decade, still waiting patiently for eliteness to pan into anything like it seems to with the rest of NFL teams with elite QBs.

There's absolutely no question that a big arm is very nice to have, but it's not a must. Velocity will bail you out when you're late or in need to thread the needle, but anticipation, trajectory and accuracy can achieve great results also... 3 consecutive seasons with a rating over 100 is not common.

Like basically everyone here wants the GM and HC to get fired, everyone agrees the OL is bottom of the NFL bad. But somehow, explain the unusual success Tua's had the last 3 years by saying it's because of the coaching and talent around him... Make it make sense... 🤷‍♂️

Average price per season ticket holder is one thousand seven hundred and thirty four dollars and zero cents.

That’s how they make it make cents.

Anyone remember when Marino used straight tag a RB out of the backfield that was 3 yards away from him with a heater where one was left thinking, “well, that seemed unreasonable”? What good was arm-strength then?

Here come all the armchair QBs with their fact denying narratives about Tua...

From someone who is quick to burry Tua (Me) FACT IS, Tua is the best QB we’ve had since Marino.

Now, does Tua tend to get on a bus headed to a different destination when we play big/winning ball clubs? Yeah. He has that tendency.

To say Tua is elite is to be THE jacka$$ of all jacka$$es but to say he’s a bad QB is just as moronical (pun intended).

Actually, his individual play against “big/winning ball clubs” is on par with most other QB’s.

We all have eyes. Sell turds elsewhere.
Got you so mad you had to make two comments to the same post?

It’s baffling to me that even with nearly all the world’s knowledge in the palm of their hand people still choose ignorance. And it is a choice because they could choose to not be.

Yup, sure do! Also recall many times thinking “that’s just unfair” as he’d rip that thing in right on a guy’s hip where a defender had zero chance even though coverage was damn near perfect.

Would always seem like we’d get 5-6 yards on plays like that when a less laser like throw would’ve been easily batted down or taken the other way.

Pitching isn't about how hard you can throw, it's about the command you have over the pitches you do throw.
You are missing the point. There is a floor in regards to pitching velocity as a MLB pitcher and 88 mph just doesn’t meet that floor, unless your a 37 year old future hall of famer who has had shoulder surgery in the past named Clayton Kershaw.

Bottom line is that the vast majority of players throwing @ 88 would not get a tryout nor would they get drafted, unless they were gifted with Greg Maddux’s ball movement and accurracy and he is an anomaly.

Phil Niekro never hit 88 mph.

Everyone has a nitch.

Don't follow baseball anymore. Is the knuckle ball still a thing? Lol amazing to watch him pitch back in the day. Dan Quisenberry was another one. What a release angle.
Unfortunately only Waldron, Padres, still uses it regularly. I’d love to see a resurgence of that pitch.

Estrada, Hendricks, Yarbrough, and a good number of others don’t throw 90mph.. and quite a few others don’t throw 90mph pitches even though they can.

Like any sport, players are bigger and stronger nowadays, but “over 88mph” is at the bottom of concerns for who is a good pitcher. If a player can throw a pitch up a fly’s azz they’ll get drafted.
