Have you even watched CJ play the past two years. No thanks. We can find someone younger, cheaper, and better.
Exactly, and someone who gives a ****.

That guy is on drugs anyway. Dude doesn't stop jittering on the sidelines.
Just wanna let everyone know right now Jeremy Hill, and Carlos Hyde won't even be on Miami's draft board. 0% chance of them being drafted by Miami.
Why?
LeGarrette Blount - undrafted
Alfred Morris - 6th round
Zac Stacy - 5th round
Chris Ivory - undrafted
BenJarvis Green-Ellis - undrafted
Rashad Jennings - 7th round
Fred Jackson - undrafted
All of these guys are in the top 25 in rushing this season.
We need a young home grown power running back. The new GM needs to pluck a power running back between round 1-4 along with shoring up the Oline.
CJ has never lived up to his mouth.
not after he got paid. Its like he dropped off the face of the earth after that.
Did you watch him at all last season? He still managed to rush for over 1,000 yards, almost as much yards as Miller and Thomas combined. He also scored as many rushing td's as our guys and 4 rec td's. I don't think he's the answer but he's not some bum who can't play as some here seem to think.
Over 1000 yards and 10 td's on the year is falling off the face of the earth?
My thoughts exactly. If he comes cheap he would fit our scheme. Titans need a power running back they didn't use CJ properly and their O-Line is garbage. He has never rushed for under 1,000 yards a season and last year alone he had 6 Rushing TDs and 4 receiving TDs. He still has the burst. 4.24 speed at 28 is probably at a 4.4 which is still faster then most (I'm spitting speculation I have no real science behind this so relax), just saying.Did you watch him at all last season? Again, exactly. CJ is the original Shaddy. He was that stop-n-go/shifty RB before McCoy. Titan's offense hasn't really complimented CJ outside of 2009 when they had a passing game and THREE monster TEs (Scaife, Crumpler, and Cook). He can catch out of the back field, excels in draw plays and screens, and can bust one out at any moment w/out getting caught from behind. I don't agree with people that say Tate is a better option than CJ. Tate is a product of a great running offense. I'm not saying CJ is the best option but depending on the price tag he would really strive in the West Coast Offense. Cut Thomas - Pick Up CJ.Why do we need a power back? LeSean McCoy wasnt a power back. We do need a short yardage back though.
Going back 7-8 years, the first three rounds have produced some pretty solid runners. I know talent can be found late in the draft at RB, but there is a plethora of ballers that go early too. OLine is our biggest NEED, no question. But if a stud RB falls to us in the early rounds, I wouldn't blame the front office for pulling the trigger.

I just saw this posted on rotoworld: The Titans are going to cut CJ2K.
Chris Johnson - RB- Titans:
The Nashville Tennssean still fully expects the Titans to release Chris Johnson.
Per beat writer Jim Wyatt, it's not a matter of "if" Johnson is released, but "when." Johnson is scheduled to earn $8 million in 2014, a year after he posted 1,077 yards rushing and a 3.86 YPC mark. He also wasn't 100 percent "in" games, as his effort appeared to come and go. The Titans want to use Shonn Greene more next season and will likely get a similar player to Johnson to complement him, just one that is younger and much cheaper than Johnson. CJ?K won't have trouble finding another job, but he's likely going to be unhappy with the monetary value of the offers he receives. He still has some juice in his legs.
Now, I hate these kind of threads but I really think he could help this team. I think he still has a lot left in the tank and a 28 yr old CJ is better than a young Miller/Thomas. He has that home-run threat that we need out of the backfield to keep teams honest. Sign him and bolster the OLine through the draft and we may have a chance at playoffs.
