That's cool but we could just draft Tre Mason and be done. Forget CJ0K.
This year was Knowshon's first 1000-yard season. He was drafted in 2009. He has just as many 1000-yard seasons as Ronnie Brown.
Darren McFadden also has one 1000-yard season in 2010. Six season's in the league and all of them he's missed games because of injury. Huge disappointment for such a high draft pick.
C.J. Spiller has one 1000-yard season in his 4 season's in the league. Still primarily an off-tackle RB who has never carried the ball more than 207 times in a season. He's good when splitting carries but will never be a 25-carry per game RB in the NFL. Drafted entirely too high IMO but at least he is a home run threat.
Trent Richardson shouldn't even be on this list. Trent Richardson...to this point in his career...sucks. You'd be hard pressed to find an Indy fan right now that still thinks that was a good trade.
Reggie Bush is still hurt too often. I think durability should play a factor in being a top RB in this league and Bush is not durable...which means his not reliable.
Ben Tate is overrated.
Shane Vereen has done nothing. Only reason anybody knows his name is because he plays for the Patriots but he's never been higher than 3rd on the Pats depth chart. This year he's behind Ridley and Blount, last year he was behind Ridley and Whitehead.
Shonn Greene is another guy who's not done anything in this league.
I don't think you need to look for a RB in the first 2 rounds. I think the right place to find one is in rounds 3-6.
My thoughts exactly. If he comes cheap he would fit our scheme. Titans need a power running back they didn't use CJ properly and their O-Line is garbage. He has never rushed for under 1,000 yards a season and last year alone he had 6 Rushing TDs and 4 receiving TDs. He still has the burst. 4.24 speed at 28 is probably at a 4.4 which is still faster then most (I'm spitting speculation I have no real science behind this so relax), just saying.
Again, exactly. CJ is the original Shaddy. He was that stop-n-go/shifty RB before McCoy. Titan's offense hasn't really complimented CJ outside of 2009 when they had a passing game and THREE monster TEs (Scaife, Crumpler, and Cook). He can catch out of the back field, excels in draw plays and screens, and can bust one out at any moment w/out getting caught from behind. I don't agree with people that say Tate is a better option than CJ. Tate is a product of a great running offense. I'm not saying CJ is the best option but depending on the price tag he would really strive in the West Coast Offense. Cut Thomas - Pick Up CJ.[/QUOTE
Omg, please never compare Chris Johnson to Lesean McCoy. Wow
Why do we need a power back? LeSean McCoy wasnt a power back. We do need a short yardage back though.
Alfred Blue from LSU in round 5 perhaps?
Omg, please never compare Chris Johnson to Lesean McCoy. Wow
Why?
LeGarrette Blount - undrafted
Alfred Morris - 6th round
Zac Stacy - 5th round
Chris Ivory - undrafted
BenJarvis Green-Ellis - undrafted
Rashad Jennings - 7th round
Fred Jackson - undrafted
All of these guys are in the top 25 in rushing this season.
Want a power back? Look no further than Andre Williams from Boston College. Dude flat out runs over people. Only problem is, he doesn't catch many (if any) passes. That's why I would lean towards drafting a more complete back like Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey (LeShawn McCoy and Gio Bernard comparisons) or Auburn's Tre Mason.
I'm definately excited about this year's crop of running backs, which means that we won't draft one.
And why not? Are they not similar players? Johnson was doing Shaddy before he was!! Not to mention that even at 28 CJ is healthier than Shaddy.

Really the list goes on and on... they're the same player except CJ is slightly older but only one more year active.

All you're doing is looking at stats. CJ needs huge holes and a great line, he isn't great at any one thing other than being fast. McCoy makes people miss like the second coming of Barry Sanders
