not looking forward to another rookie quaterback and the customary 3 yr incubation

Do you think we'll get a 1st rounder for him right now? I doubt it. Rams probably won't get a top 3 pick anyway. Is Todd Hundley the answer?

I'm very, very sorry to say I agree. I so wanted Tanne to be the answer we have been waiting for but so many bad throws and so many plays left on the field. Obviously you can't fault him for drops and his durability has been great. Maybe Hickey has a better eye for QB talent and I hope he gets a chance to find one in the next draft. If Tanne isn't the guy, I would like to see what Moore can do in this offense.

I think Philbin and Tannehill are joined at the hip. The only way Moore plays this year is if Tannehill get hurt. Benching Tannehill would be Philbin showing the world and Ross, that the investment in this QB of the future was a failure. I fully expect Tannehill to show just enough in a few games this year to make people want to give it another year.

I dont think anyone would trade for Tannehill, they certainly wouldnt give that high of a pick for him anyway.

Tannehill is definitely struggling, but while it may be his third year, it was only his second game under a new offense. I think Tannehill is struggling, but today was a team failure in all phases.

Whether Tannehill is the answer or not, I am not sure. I am skeptical. Having said that, why does everyone want Moore to start? Does anyone actually believe Moore will singlehandedly turn this team into a Super Bowl contender? Moore hasn't been able to beat out RT, yet some think he is the answer? If so, how long is he the answer?

If Moore can't get us to the Super Bowl, then why would you want him to play? To win an extra game or two and hurt our draft position? I cannot comprehend anyone seriously wanting Moore to start.

We all knew that we weren't winning the Super Bowl this year, and it is obvious that Tannehill isn't Dan Marino. But he doesn't have to be. We are a 6 to 10 win team who won't make it past the 2nd round in any case. Tannehill had no time to throw today and buffalo is a bad matchup. Let's see how the season plays out. We won't be bad enough to draft a top 3 qb anyway.

I agree that we all knew we weren't going to the SB this year. But, what we were doing was looking to see if Tannehill was going to take the next step and make the big progression expected in a 3rd year QB. That was a main point for this year. So far, it is not looking good...

In today's NFL, it doesn't take 3 years for a legit QB to make an impact. If it's the right one we should see it right away. Not this bull**** suspension of disbelief our last few failures dragged us through year after year.
I agree but people will always point to Rodgers and Brees, 2 of elite QBs as examples of QBs needing time, Peyton too needed a season of struggle. I guess a good coach can tell the difference between a Henne/Tannehill and a Rodgers/Brees early on.

Moore isn't the answer either, but many feel Moore would at least give the team a fighting chance. I don't think they will put Moore in. Tannehill will have this year, and that will decide what we do in the draft next year. (Right now...our scouting team should start seriously looking at college QB's though...)

True. People always go back to that. It's a little deceptive now though looking back. It was a different era and there are a lot of unknowns. We don't know if Rodgers needed all those years behind Favre because he was dominant as soon as he hit the field. Peyton had that one year to cut his teeth in the league and was great the next year. Brees had that one off year that was almost like a sophomore slump but quickly recovered and he had shown a lot in that first year of significant playing time. Looking around the league now and seeing all the immediate success from young QBs, you have to start believing this 3 year development program is a myth. If you're for real, you're going to show that early.

Not saying Tanne isn't the guy. I believe he has the tools to be a great QB in this league.

But it is more than just talent. Guys like Wilson and Rivers and others have that fire, that intensity. I want to see THill get in the receivers face after he runs a bad route, yell at the Oline to keep him clean show emotion when he messes up. Show the team your intensity and will to win, and they will follow suit. I know you saw Manning get in J. Thomas' ear today, and that was after that guy caught 3 tds last week, or Brady screaming at his OLine in week 1. He NEEDS to DEMAND greatness from every player on the field with him at all times, and give them hell when they don't deliver

I don't care who he yells at or how often, I care whether or not he can throw an accurate pass.

Brees was mediocre when he started and turned to downright terrible before the Chargers drafted Rivers. No QB should be expected to develop the way he did.

The same mouth breathers would bash a rookie QB after his first snap.

Some did.

I've supported him since he's been drafted. It was always "next game, next year" stuff. I'm done. I've been saying "let's wait and see" and now's the time to show us that you're ready to take the next step, which he's certainly not doing. He's looked as bad this year as he did in previous years. His ypa is awful. He's got more weapons this year than he ever has. Newsbreak: this is the NFL, you have to play well against good teams if you want to win games and get to the playoffs.

There are all kinds of HUGE assumptions being made off of 2 games of the 2014 season.

We all hoped Tanny was the franchise qb but he's obviously not cut ur losses draft his replacement

Unfortunately, I do not see anyone in the college ranks that is that much better. The dude from Oregon will not do squat in the pros. Who else is there? Not a fan of Jamison Winston.
