so you really believe the dolphins would release the transtrips without knowing if their true or not ...... you do know the dolphins agreed with the nfl to release the transtrips , don't you ?

I just find it funny that the term hate crime has been thrown around so loosely. Please correct me if I am wrong but to my knowledge the police are not involved. The media should probably wait and see if a real crime has been committed before they accuse someone of a hate crime.
At this point I am trying not to side with either party because the situation is just too strange. The more players that come forward in Incognito's defense the less I believe Martin though.

I couldn't believe it when Darlington said that Martin had participated in the same prank a few weeks prior as well as many other times through the course of the entire season. That one really got me thinking that Martin or someone has an agenda. The first time I felt this way was when the voice mail leaks came out, yet they weren't the actual recordings, just snippets of what was said. Then we see how much the two hung out together via tweets and that it looked to be a decent friendship. Now we hear about how Martin's side as lawyer up and Ross is willing to do so as well. This whole situation just sucks. God dammit Cogs, why couldn't you have just been more politically correct you damn meat head.
On a side note I'm really looking forward to seeing if this will be played out in the courts or if a settlement will be made. We would get an amazing look at the life inside the NFL locker room if it went to court!
The Dolphins' media relations has been scared and inept for nearly a decade, beginning with Saban. That frustrates the media and forces them to be more aggressive. Believe it or not, the sports reporters want to be lazy. Feed them decent quotes regularly and they'll write pathetic stories that are nothing but quote-transition-quote-transition-quote-transition-quote-end story. That's barely an exaggeration. I was a sportswriter throughout school and majored in print. The USC coaches were always on edge around me because I never wrote the fluff pieces, unlike the reporters who covered the team for the Los Angeles Times or Herald Examiner. Guys like Mal Florence of the Times merely wanted to show up for the french dip at the Monday press luncheon, and otherwise not threaten to investigate anything or offend anyone. John Robinson had his arm around (muy) Mal all the time.
When the Dolphins don't supply the sincere quotes and perpetually act as if they are hiding something, the reporters are forced to look for fringe sources. At that point it's hit and miss. It's unbelievable that the Dolphins don't understand that they are contributing to their own problem. Even yesterday, Philbin was weak in that presser. The time he spent rambling about his family could have been used for some specifics regarding Martin, or how the locker room is handled in general. Provide some anecdotes in that area. Give one example of a previous locker room issue that was patched up, even if it was last year or from Green Bay, and those lazy reporters would start scribbling a mile a minute, knowing half their story was written for them. That's literally the way it works. Instead, the Dolphins gave nothing so they are vulnerable to every interpretation, and given the current climate none of it is going to be positive.
I thought ESPN's coverage was very fair, specifically Polian's account that his teams forbid hazing, a lesson he learned from Marv Levy and Bill Walsh. That shot a hole in the simplistic idea that it goes on everywhere. I had to laugh when someone here wanted to investigate those claims. You wouldn't want to hear those reports. It will only make the Dolphins look worse when articulate and impressive guys like Levy describe steps he took 20 years ago or more. Even if some of the players report minor incidents on those teams, it will be comfortably trumped when other coaches confirm the edict and overall stance of the head coach and organization.

I am paying attention .Its been reported that the dolphins and the nfl released the transcripts after hearing the voicemail from Martins people .do you think the dolphins and the nfl would do this to one of their players without proof ? No one is upset with the media for reporting this story, it's HUGE story, they have to report it and report on it a lot. The issue I believe most have with the media is how they frame certain things, the half truths they tell to make their POV look more solid than it really is.
This. Absolutely this. Reporting is a volume business, unfortunately, like a restaurant with a buffet. The more food you can serve that came out of a can, the lazier you're allowed to be. These Dolphins writers are being forced to make the food from scratch, so to speak, the way guys at the top restaurants do. Meanwhile their ambition stops at the Applebees level.
This is not huge,no one died.This isnt a Penn state debacle,this isnt a hernandez shooting,it's a wimpy dumbass quitter using an excuse to get out of the game.Martin could have handled this 20 different ways.

my problem is with the media blaming all of the leadership on the team, from the players to coaches even front office. they are trying to make miami into an unstable organization with no leadership at all
