Now a Mock everyone can live with...

That is a horrible scenario. It equates to a 1st round bust! This is a draft stuffed full of talent and yet you managed to find a draft where we avoid every bit of it.

Blech, I'll vomit on the spot if we waste this draft like that.

Hickey would be ridden out of town if he did that!

And you think people hated Ireland???

Whoa!

Dude, he was talking about a scenario where Bridgewater would fall to our 19th pick, giving us all the leverage with Cleveland as a trade partner to go back to their 26th pick, and gain a 2nd/3rd at the same time. He didn't imply anything in regards to actually drafting the guy.

SB Nation has Miami trading out of the 1st with Jax for their 2nd-39th, 3rd-70th and 4th-115th. With two number twos Miami pick Anthony Richardson, T from Tenn. and Guard David Yankey from Stanford. Bam ! Oline problems solved!!!!

It just occur to me that the best draft scenerio is for the Dolphins to trade down or out of the first.

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-dr... deep draft, not sure how this concept is new

I've seen plenty of mocks with the Saints trading up with us in order to snatch WR - Cooks from the Eagles.

Saints get - 1st (19)

Dolphins get - 1st (27), 2nd (58)

I would take that in a heart beat if all top targets are gone.

Big into this!

Our 19th overall pick for Jacksonville's 2nd-39th, 3rd-70th and 4th-115th....Nahhh. They are going to have to bring more to the table. Maybe Kevin Costner would do this deal on Draft Day, but not Hickey. Hickey is not Jeffy Ireland panicking all over the place and moving up and down repeatedly because he gets rattled and confused. :rolleyes2:

So you must know Hickey personally...

I'll take this even if the top targets are on the board.....drop 8 spots in a deep draft and pick up a 2nd round pick....in a heart beat......this team needs Defensive help in the secondary and LB in a big way, with the added 2nd we can also address the OL with a high pick

Dropping 20 spots from 19 to 39 for the 70th and 115th doesn't seem like fair compensation.

I love the trade, but the picks aren't great. As has been mentioned before, Richardson in particular is a bad scheme fit.

What is to like about this mock? Not only is the compensation not good enough imo but the picks suck.

well this thread went according to plan lol

Agreed & 27 is an ideal spot to draft Su'a-Filo.

Not the picks but the trade itself makes sense, the draft is real deep and more holes could be filled. After JMart, I don't want anything to do with stanford's olineman, lol!

For my nose at least, it will take quite some time before the stench of that rat j.martin leaves any Stanford OL.
