Now, anyone missing Ricky and Ronnie?

I don't miss R&R. The O-line just sucks. If Miami had an elite O-line like they should by now Reggie and whoever could be used in the redzone no problem. Look at the Patriots...no name RBs but effective cause they have a good O-line.

Nope. Once we got behind, Tony would have quit using them anyway...

Say what you want but we missed them last night. Ricky in particular.......If you don't think that he scores from the one yd line you're crazy. That game goes a whole different direction with that score. We never should have let both of them go, we need that power run.

I know what I'm going to hear....."he bad mouthed the coach" "they didn't want to be here"......be realistic, they both knew that for 8 months the team was moving away from them. How much would you want to be somewhere that you can see you aren't wanted anymore.

I hope LJ comes around bc we can't leave red zone scores on the field.....

uh no, not missin wildcat. not missing dancin at LOS. Not missin 20 carries for 80 yds. not missin.

Ricky would have run into that same wall on the one yard line, and there was nothing Soliai, Polite, Charles Clay or Ricky could do about it.

4th and goal from the one FOOT line...and we passed a low percentage throw...yeah I miss them!

Wasn't it first and goal from the 1 at one point? If ronnie/ricky can't run it in on 4 downs... I'd eat crow.

I don't miss them at all. They don't fit in this new offense where the running back is a primary target in the pass game, creating matchup problems in space. They would be situational players at best, and we brought in DT for that. Even with Thomas healthy, I don't think we would have seen too much power running Monday Night; we played from behind most of the game.

You don't think Ricky was considered a threat pass catching RB?? There might be some truth to the dancing argument with Ronnie but noone should be ridiculous enough to state that he was not a phenomenal receiving RB!!

Ricky could add some value this team, but in no way do I miss him. Ronnie really never became that player we all wanted him to, and now injuries are always going to be an issue for him. If the Dolphins completely whiffed on Thomas, I'd say yes I miss Ricky. I'm going to give the kid a few games before I say that though.

one comment and one observation about the argument....the comment is.......wait...for....it......HELLLLLL NO im not missing ricky OR ronnie for that matter.my reasoning is simple. Bush gave us 90 APR....if im not mistaken ricky and ronnie eclipsed that mark once or twice.... and the observation is...you all DO know that on most 3rd and shorts and the goal line....both Haynesworth and Wilfork was in the game.....right? otherwise we wouldnt be talking about this...surely i think we all could use our heads

Ricky would have run into that same wall on the one yard line, and there was nothing Soliai, Polite, Charles Clay or Ricky could do about it.

oh i didnt see this post before....so with THIS said by the fine gentleman...why are we still having the conversation??? please....anyone???

did Bush even get any goalline carries? He can leap from the 5 over the pile into the endzone...just toss it to him and he'll get the corner...I think Hilliard got the only GL carry.

First of all, not really. With this O-line, guys have been getting slapped back before they even get to the LOS in short yardage. Ronnie or Ricky wouldn't have done much running against the pats and it wouldn't have mattered because we had to pass, and henne did a great job of that. We need to be more pass oriented. I miss our good O-line, whatever that was, i miss it.

With Ricky we would have run on that goal line series.......and he would have got in!! Game goes completely different with that.

no he wouldnt. he would have gone outside where his strength is but NE defense doesnt give up the outside very much.

bottom line: Reggie Bush fits this offense as a diverse player who is good running and pass catching but not a pounder. NE was a matchup that dictated passing at goaline. We ran Hilliard one play and it didnt work. Henne did not throw the ball well at GL. He needs to just trust his reciever a little more there and let them look it back and take it in front of DB with lower throw. Ricky is badmouthing Sparano now, i am sure the feeling was mutual. Ricky is just going through motions getting a nice paycheck while he prepares to be a doctor. Move on.

Ricky would have jumped the pile , we've seen him do that many times. Ive also seen him blow his own linemen into the endzone when they didnt get any push, of course that was back in his 2002 days lol.

But none of that matters, this FO has whiffed on a lot of moves, and made a lot of mistakes. Its exactly why we have been nothing more then mediocre for the last few years.
