Personally, I like our ability to evaluate cornfed OL and DL. I think we can rely on that strength to find a G or T in Round 3 or later. We don't always hit homeruns, but at the minimum we usually draft guys that are productive and plug holes for at least their rookie contract.
Frankly, I like the philosophy change so far in drafting. Let's continue the good mojo and go after a WR in the 2nd. Let's keep investing in our skilled future. All I am reading about Stephen Hill is how little downside he has and all the upside and talent he possesses. I've read how well he uses his hands to separate and is very good at getting cleanly out of the break. He's not as polished in his route running, but THAT can be taught. It's hard to teach getting off clean in tight coverage. I really like this kid.
Jeffrey is a freak of nature, but he has discipline problems. He tends to break off routes, freelance and sometimes gives up on a play. I've paid attention to him in the SEC over the years. When he is on... there's not many in the game like him. But when he decides to mail it in, he's a waste of space. We don't need head cases. He doesn't appear to be a Green Bay type receiver.
But, I admit, Stephen Hill has grown on me big time. So, we probably won't get him. :)
