Now that Ireland is staying, his first move should be...

As someone who understands why Ireland is still here, and to some degree no problem with it. People like you put 2008 thru 2010 all on Ireland, leaving Parcells hands clean. I and others, think Parcells had a heavy hand while being in the FO. I believe he had a template, and it was to be followed to the tee. But once Ireland drafted Tannehill, and Philbin was brought in, it should be understood that he was here going forward. The only way you pull that rug out, is if the team completely imploded and laid an egg this season. Something that hasn't happened.

You may not like his drafts. And frankly, the 'gurus' here, are hit and miss themselves. But Ireland as a GM found this franchises long needed QB. He helped in the hiring of a Coach, that I think Tannehill has developed under because of him, not in spite of him. I could point to a franchise like ATL or NO and their recent draft picks and show you absolute trash. But that won't matter to people like you. You along with the likes of Hayden, CK and many others, just want the stench of Ireland gone. It doesn't matter that this team is fighting for a playoff spot with a 30 game NFL starter at the helm.

SideNote: a well known 'guru' here, said Pat White would REVOLUTIONIZE the QB position. Is his opinion now trash?

Parcells was gone before 2010. 2010 was Ireland's doing. And I was livid over Pat White and would have fired the whole bunch off of that pick alone, don't know who said he would revolutionize the QB position but they were way off.

I know probably more about every franchises picks over the last 7-10 years than I really care to know. If you ever join VIP you'll see my handy work on all that. I know which franchises have been notoriously bad at drafting, which ones have been outstanding and which ones get undo hype for no reason (Patriots). All I know is Ireland has been middle of the pack and it's no coincidence that teams who are above average are constantly in playoff conversations.

By the way ATL is not a good example to show how their recent draft picks are "trash". Since 2008 they drafted Matt Ryan, Sam Baker, Curtis Lofton, Harry Douglas, Thomas DeCoud, Peria Jerry, William Moore, Sean Weatherspoon, Corey Peters, Julio Jones, Peter Konz and Lamar Holmes...all starters in this league....Plus a number of pretty good backups like Jacquizz Rodgers and Dominique Franks.

I can't believe anybody in their right mind wants us to move on from Grimes. PAY THE MAN!!

I have not. But we don't know what's going on inside his noggin either way. Besides, what's he gonna say to the media? "**** that guy, he sucks, I hate him, and all his stupid freckles"?

Your answer is why you people are so irrational, and really can't be debated. You have nothing to offer but crap like the above. Later, troll.

That is some great drafting there. How's that 4-10 record looking this year?:idk:

One injury riddled season means they've had bad drafts...lol. I believe this conversation is over. I'm not wasting any more time.

His first move should be to release wheeler. Koa Misi, ellerbe, and dion Jordan should be our linebackers. Jelani is young and getting better each week. Cut your loses at the end of the season!

Grimes will be back! His wifey states how much they love miami and are grateful. Plus, you don't just get rid of good players, you try to keep them around.
id like to believe that but Ireland has not been impressive in keeping good players around. We'd be more explosive if we kept Reggie bush around; out passing game would be ridiculous if we didn't dump Marshall - w him and Wallace and hartline - wow. He let long walk w no real Plan B. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't sign Grimes due to cost. He'll say "we have Taylor and Davis and they have to step up blah blah blah". Ireland only looks ok right now because we are getting good QB play. Ireland used a draft pick on a kicker - who has the worst FG % in the league - enough said.

Jeff Ireland sucks. He's not guaranteed to come back next year, that's still up in the air and to be determined by Mr. Ross at the end of this season.

I'm happy with the direction in which the team is headed and Ireland does deserve some credit for that. In my opinion most of the credit for our improvement belongs to Coach Philbin. Ever since he's gotten here we have been a better team, a more organized and competitive team. He wins in spite of Jeff Ireland. We were a couple missed field goals from the playoffs in his first year with only 1 good receiver. Imagine where we would be this year if Ireland would have not been so arrogant and actually addressed the offensive line in the offseason, particularly LT which just about anyone with any football knowledge knew was a liability coming into the season. Instead he waits until mid season when it was obvious that his lack of action was costing us games. All the accumulated sacks might have cost us the #2 seed this year. Having said that, if Ireland does indeed return his first move should be....FIX THE ****ING OFFENSIVE LINE ALREADY!

You guys crack me up. So he get's all the blame, and none of the credit. So the Philbin you guys wanted to get rid of just a few weeks ago. Nevamind..

Philbin has found someone to work with him. You just don't like who it is.

Really? Then how come Island didn't agree with letting Incognito go after the golf incident? Reports are Philbin wanted him gone as soon as he found out about it. Except Ireland over ruled him. He said to keep him.

Think about that. Had Incognito been cut in the off season problems would have been solved before they even happened. For one, you take away the one obvious scapegoat for Martin. Martin would have had a hard time blaming anyone else in the locker room because no one else has the reputation that Incognito has about being a dirty player. Secondly, with Incognito gone, Ireland is forced to deal with the holes at the o-line before the season even starts.

Yeah, yeah, I know. All what if scenarios. It still comes down to the fact that had they in fact worked together, as you say they do, there wouldn't have been any media circus to begin with.
