I agree - He is right. His 1958 reference was in rebuttle to the "this offense was made for Chad Pennington" argument. He was basically saying that this offense was around before Pennington was born and was not made for him. He went on to say that this year's team has more offensive weapons than the 2008 team but is not nearly as consistent. To offer my paraphrase - "The offense was not made for Pennington but Pennington made the offense work with less talent around him". While I agree that Henning needs to take more blame for this year's lack of offense, he is clearly saying this year's group (mainly Henne) hasn't been able to make it go.
