Look I want a Franchise QB like Marino as well and I'm for sure not Anti Andrew Luck....I just dont understand how you guys can root against your own team just for a draft pick. I sat there like the rest of you last night just shaking my head in disbelief but last time I checked Moore wasnt that bad last night so explain how a Rookie QB is going to magically save us?
I say clean out the front office and coaches and then start to worry about who our QB will be.
So let me ask everyone this then....If Andrew Luck was our QB last night do we win the game?
at the beggining of the season, everyone was hoping the fins would be good and make the playoffs and take it from their.
after the pats game, ok we played a better team, our offense showed some life at times, whatever, will bounce back vs houston. after we lost to houston, ok, those 2 teams are better than us, and although we should have won 1 at least, we beat cleveland and we can right the ship.
However, once we lost to cleveland, without their best offensive player, and cleveland blows, then thats when everyone just knew officially we were going nowhere this year. People may have said preseason this team wont make the playoffs, etc, but once we lost to cleveland, everyone knew officially we were not going anywhere, and were not even going to be a decent team.
That is when the suck for luck started. Now you can say,'' how can someone root against their own team''? well here is the thing. as i mentioned before, its not that we didnt want the fins to win, but once we saw this season was a wash, you do whats best.
andrew luck is being deemed as the best prospect since elway. now elway was drafted in 83 i believe, so we are talking about the best prospect at the most important position in the nfl in almost 30 years. think about how many people enter the draft each year. this guy is being deemed as the best player to enter the draft in almost 30 years.
does that mean he is a lock to be good. no, Nothing in life is a lock. However, its a pretty safe bet he will be a star, and we need a franchise qb asap. their is luck and then everyone else.
any other year, even at 0-5 now, im sure most people would want the fins to win as many games as possible, because in most years, the difference between the 1st and 10Th pick is not the wide a margin in talent.
however, with a guy like luck, you either draft 1st, or miss out. going 4-12 does us crap. it only gives us a few wins, and still means we blow. if we are going to blow, lets blow bad enough to get a great consolation prize, not a qb who has potential but is far from a lock.
