Thats something I need to start doing especially since there is plenty of room here in Arkansas, your not elbow to elbow like California.
Sometimes you think youβve hooked into a respectable catfish only for the depths to send you one of these:
Sometimes you catch the same little ass catfish twice in the span of 11 minutes - just from different baits. (2nd catch even had the mark/blood in the corner of its mouth from where the 1st catch was hooked)

I may vomit.
That bass this morning WAS NOT a Largemouth. It was a Spotted Bass.
It's BY FAR my personal best spotted bass.
That's not the problem.
It weighed 3.5lbs. but I didn't measure its length.
The WV State Record for Spotted Bass isn't something that was even remotely on my radar because I see so few of them up here in the northern panhandle.
It ain't the weight that has me sick to my stomach.
WV State Record for length on a Spotted Bass is 19"
Nineteen inches.
Now Iβll never know for sure β¦ but in my heart I know damn well this one was at least that. (at the time I thought 20β maybe pushing 21β)
