Official Free Agency and Rumors Thread

Delmas is rock solid.

Everywhere except his muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones! If that guy could stay healthy he'd be a sure fire Pro Bowl candidate every year. I definitely want to bring him back but we need to have a good young option to groom behind him.

Good versatility and size (6-1, 204). Three year starter at free safety for Utes, and even made all-conference. Whittingham moved him to CB in 2014 due to shortage at position. Good day three pick.

I also like Derron Smith and Gerod Holliman a lot for us too. Smith looks to be a prototypical "center fielder" and possibly the second best overall safety in the draft and Holliman has a lot more risk but could definitly be a day 3 steal due to his instincts and production in college. Bottom line though, Delmas or not, we need another safety.

I think Rowe will be a corner. He has the coverage skills and speed to stay on the boundary. He's not a splashy player, but very solid and fundamentally sound.

Rowe seems intriguing. Hell if he would turn out to be a solid FS with some range that would be great, or a decent corner- also great.

Eric Rowe, CB/S, Utah

Height: 6-0. Weight: 204.
Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round (2015): 3-4.

Rowe helped himself with a quality week at the Senior Bowl. He has versatile size where he can be a physical press-man corner or a deep free safety. Rowe looks like a corner to start and a safety if that doesn't work out. The senior played corner in 2014 and broke up 13 passes with an interception and 59 tackles. He played free safety during the two previous years and had 69 and 64 tackles respectively.

Sounds alot like Walt Aikens.

Just saw it's a 1 year, 3.5 million deal. Would've liked a bit lower number but whatever

What round is Rowe projected?

Alan Ball, DB

Updating a previous item, free agent CB Alan Ball left his Panthers visit without signing a deal. rotoworld....

The same source said on Friday that "a lot" was worked out in terms of negotiations before Ball left town, but not to the point the 29-year-old player was ready to sign. At least one other team has entered the picture regarding interest in Ball.

Not sure who the other team is and do not anything about if he would be a good fit here..
