A little more info on Rowe....

Utah cornerback and safety Eric Rowe is scheduled to visit the Ravens before the NFL draft, according to league sources

Rowe also has visits with the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins and private workouts with the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rowe has excellent size at 6 feet 1, 205 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, where he also met with the Ravens. Rowe also talked with the Ravens at the Senior Bowl.

At the combine, Rowe had a 39-inch vertical leap, a 10-5 broad jump, a 6.70 three-cone drill, a 3.97 short shuttle and 19 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press test.

NFL teams have varied on whether Rowe projects best to cornerback or safety.

A three-year starter at free safety and a former freshman All-American, Rowe moved to cornerback for his senior year.

He had 13 pass breakups last season with one interception, 59 tackles, three for losses, a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal. He was a two-time honorable-mention All-Pac-12 selection

Growing up in Texas, Rowe played football, basketball and track and was a member of the National Honor Society. He had 207 tackles, four forced fumbles, nine interceptions, three blocked punts and two kickoff returns for touchdowns.

while it is rare, there are cases of college safeties moving to CB (Nnamdi Asomaugh actually did it), and with the new hot thing being big corners, Rowe looking like he could play CB is helping him especially in our case where we like to use a 3rd safety in the slot a lot

Miller had 7 drops last year on 52 targets I think...pretty high percentage. Gurley is underrated as a pass catcher.

The other day I was on NFLN website and they had posted the amount of fumbles per carry on there. Abdullah I believe was the worst at a fumble every 35 or so times. Next Gordon at once every 52 or so and Gurley was at bottom of their list at like a 163 or 193 I think. So there is that.

yeah.... i dont know that exact numbers or site but ican definitely see that. i wonder if Duke Johnson is up there with fumbles too.

Because if Gurley is drafted in the 1st he will be a bust but if he's drafted in the 2nd, he will be a pro bowler

really? why?

I wouldn't call the decision stupid. Gurley would be a good choice. The difficulty is Gurley will most likely have to redshirt his first year and we have too many needs to use our first round pick on a redshirt. However if the FO is patient and really looking to 2016 then they may go after Gurley.

Gurley is exciting but we probably can't afford to with the other holes

ATHENS, Ga. – Todd Gurley wore brown slacks and a grey zip-up jacket as he spoke to reporters following Georgia’s Pro Day on Wednesday. The outfit contrasted starkly with what Gurley’s teammates were wearing. Most of the Bulldogs working out for NFL teams donned black workout shirts and shorts with white lettering. In comparison, Gurley was decidedly overdressed.

There was a reason for his wardrobe, of course: Gurley didn’t take part in Georgia’s Pro Day. The Bulldogs’ former running back is in the midst of rehabbing a torn ACL suffered last season. On Wednesday, Gurley wasn’t able to show off his talent for the 31 NFL teams in attendance, a group that included Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien. But Gurley said there’s plenty of tape to watch if teams are interested.

On Wednesday, Gurley described his rehab as “pretty smooth,” and he said his plan is to be healthy enough to participate in an NFL team’s mini-camp in July. Dr. James Andrews, who performed Gurley’s surgery last November, refuted reports in February of uncertainty surrounding Gurley’s progress. Asked to assess his health this week, Gurley wouldn’t put a number on it, but he said it has been positive.

“I’m not a trainer, so I can’t really tell you where I’m at exactly.” Gurley said. “But I feel like I’m doing pretty good.
