so he's not actually gonna have a pro day??? that could hurt but the buzz is he goes top 20...likely in that 11-20 window at this stage.

I mean didn't he have ACL surgery in late November?

AP was a freak for coming back in 7 months and having one of the greatest seasons a RB has ever had. It's only been 4 months for Gurley . . . . teams/people have already known he wouldn't be ready to show anything until training camp at the earliest.

You'd pretty much be gambling on the tape and a successful return to form from Gurley . . . which is why the talk of him at 14 is not one I've jumped on. Just too much success in round 2/later at RB and RB isn't a huge need for this team.

Marcus Lattimore obviously had a complete restructure of his knee, much more severe than Gurley . . . . but he was drafted in round 4 by a team that was absolutely loaded all over the place. They could afford the gamble at the time . . . . we aren't in the position to take that roll of the dice with Gurley, at least I wouldn't. Not at RB.

if hes healthy, talk about hitting the jackpot. he runs like he is a cheat code in Madden.

Nope. Apparenlty he is on Bears and Panthers radar from what I read.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Georgia running back Todd Gurley is projected as a first-round pick, but a big piece of his final draft evaluation will be medical tests on his surgically repaired knee.

Gurley plans to wait for the official medical re-check in April to allow teams to examine his left knee. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament Nov. 15 -- in his first game back from a suspension handed down Oct. 9 for receiving payment for his autograph -- and surgery was performed by renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Andrews did not want teams pulling and manipulating the knee, so Gurley did not complete a full medical exam but allowed MRI exams. He did not participate in tests of torque or resistance.

All 323 players in attendance at the annual scouting combine are scheduled for thorough medical exams performed by NFL team doctors at a local hospital near downtown Indianapolis.

Gurley, who signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation agency, will not participate in Georgia's pro day March 18. It's unlikely he will hold a workout in April before the draft. Gurley said he is just beginning to perform lateral agility drills. "The timetable is six to nine months. I got hurt in November, so I'm not really giving no timetable," said Gurley, who admitted patience is not his strong suit, Thursday afternoon. "I'm just trying to get back safe, but as quick as possible."

I'm pretty sure some team is going to take that risk in round 1.

It's not like I'm going to riot if we make the pick . . . but there has gotta some part of the thought process that says "this guy may not be this dominant when he returns". You can't assume that he will be.

I do like the kid's approach in making sure he's fully recovered. No need to rush, get healhty, get the knee right.

if he's a go medically i think the floors the chargers at 17...

the steal of the draft is gurley if he gets back to where he was before the knee

I wouldn't call the decision stupid. Gurley would be a good choice. The difficulty is Gurley will most likely have to redshirt his first year and we have too many needs to use our first round pick on a redshirt. However if the FO is patient and really looking to 2016 then they may go after Gurley.

So then Gordon right? Lol

I wonder if anyone will sign him. He's screwed now without Jim Harbaugh in the league. I can't imagine anyone would sign him.

I think the Jets should sign him, although they may file charges if Suh destroys him...

Keep it classy Dolphins fans. Nothing to see regarding the Jonathan Martin release.

Jonathan Martin isn't, wasn't a football player. The Dolphins found that out the hard way. The 49ers obviously found that out too.

want to know why kaep was the most sacked qb in the league??? other than the fact he can't read a defense to save his life jonathon martins why

if he doesnt get another shot with someone dollars to donuts a lawsuit against miami is on the way in the near future...book it...just waiting til his playing days are over to hit us with major litigation

Martin should go be a fat camp counselor or something.. He's not built for football.
